Does anyone know why the Ford Focus 2014 SE SYNC media connects to my Pixel 7 automatically but does not play the audio unless I manually go through the prompts and select the phone in the media menu? Can I default to Bluetooth audio when I turn my car on?

Wondering if Ford is aware of so many Bluetooth problems??

Can I unplug the cd player then rebook up everything else and everything else will work? Pls help stumped.

I don’t have a reboot option.

sync reboot is not even on mine 😖😖😖

I can’t even get sync media to come up. Just switches back to radio every time. I’m considering ripping it out of the dash and running over it a few times and posting it on KZread

I had the same issue a few weeks ago, I was about to disconnect the battery in hopes to reset it but after the car was turned off for a few hours it came back to life. Try that if not just disconnect the battery and see if that works which it should.

Mine does that too. It has gor a month now, today i unplugged the battery. It did not work.

Also can't stand when posters don't try to go further and reply to comments when people need help. Just post one solution and that's it.

My Sync Rebooting is taking forever to load . I dont have my phonebook etc. connected to the car but its still rebooting . I sat in a parking lot for 30 mins and its still rebooting drove home and all and its still rebooting lol. Yours rebooted and im trying figure out where i went wrong 😭 lol

That's weird, the longest mine has ever taken was maybe 3 minutes but not 30. Perhaps try again and see if it happens again and If it does try disconnecting the battery to rest the whole system and see where that gets you. Worst case take it to the dealership.

If I don't have the sync reboot, or about sync button, would the master reset be a good option?

Possibly but you might have to reset all of your settings.

find fuse for sync pull out wait a minute then put back in . make sure bluetooth is on in your phone. delete any old devices on the vehicle sync. then try reconnecting to sync to your phone.

My sync media doesn't even come up as a option . So I can't it keeping going back to the radio

I did everything, including master reset. Now, it only gives me a "Initalizing BT. Please try again" when I am trying to add or even put the sync into search mode.

I think your system is stuck on itself, if the master reset didn't work nor the other reboots. The last option is to disconnect the battery and then reconnect if for a clean restart. Anything after that may require dealer assistance as they can talk to the computer.

Don't see reboot, isn't on mine. Anyway, phone does connect for phone calls just can't play music through radio and, just shows a continuous connecting message that never connects to Bluetooth.

The explained doesnt exist on the big screen 2019, my problem is that im connected to my phone always but have to manually connect to media device.. it never connects automatically

When I push phone button on my phone nothing happens.

I have a 2016 Ford Taurus. When I click synch media and/or synch phone, it goes right back to the radio. Disconnecting battery doesn’t work either. Do you know a fix?

I had the same problem once, but it corrected itself after I turned the car off for awhile. If nothing has worked the dealer might be the only option left unfortunately. There might be an update or something that has gone wrong.

this helped me : To perform a Reboot, press and hold the Seek Up (>>) button while pressing and holding the Radio Power button. Release both buttons after 5 seconds. Please allow a few minutes for the reboot to complete. After a few minutes has passed you can resume using the SYNC system. Note: Feature availability depends on your vehicle´s options

Has happened a few times to me, just have to drive the car around for a day, turning it off and on like normal and the sound should come back.

Another way to do is to just pull one terminal from the battery to kill the car and when you turn it back on it will be good

Tried this and didn't work.

click on SYNC-media wont give me enter. Nothing work for me even disconnect battery, try with fuse, nothing. I cant even find SYNC on my phone BT.joke.

0:51 is where it won’t go to that screen and backs out

That's weird, you might have to either reset the system or disconnect and reconnect the battery for a hard reset.

@@brandonbelanger_Official it does this to me on my 2017 Ford fiesta. When I click media it backs me out. How could I fix my Bluetooth sync ? I can't even use aux because it's linked with sync.

When I hit the steering wheel volume up it changes the entire media it goes to radio then am 1, am2 fm1/2 then back to Bluetooth and won’t do volume as intended ima blow up my whole truck 😂

If you have an 08-12 Ford Escape and you're here because your sync keeps disconnecting the Bluetooth media: The Sync fuse is the 3rd fuse moving from left to right on the bottom row of the fuse box in your passenger floorboard/console area. Remove it while your vehicle is running, turn it off and put the fuse back in, then start your vehicle and it should be good to go.
