Not your fault. Probably a manufacturer recommendation. But 12,500 is absolutely insane. I’m in America. 5000 miles tops. If you go much over that your engine will prematurely wear (valve guide seals, etc…) and start burning oil which will lead to further issues. NEVER listen to your dealer’s service interval suggestion. They’re setting you up for failure, on purpose.

Dude that’s only 4000 miles?? What kind of car do you own that needs serviced every 4000 miles I wonder? The average miles traveled per year for a car is generally around 10,000-15,000. That would mean you get your car serviced 2 or 3 times a year? Wow 😮
