How to replace the “Mickey Mouse” coolant flange hose on an e92 328xi. (Thermostat to cylinder head)

This video shows how to properly replace the cylinder head to thermostat hose on a 2008 e92 328xi. The coolant flange attached to this hose (commonly referred to as the “Mickey Mouse Flange”) is a common failure point on many BMW engines in the “N5X” era. We show you how to replace the entire hose, including the flange. Another option is to simply just replace the flange. This video contains the information to do this on most BMWs with an N51,N52,N54,N55,etc.

U can use foil to make a coolant slide 🛝 and somewhat make the coolant draining less of a mess.

BMW Engs def didn’t give a shit about this part 🤦🏼 u can clearly tell by the 2 random reg style 10mm bolts used . Lol. Every other damn piece of hardware is either torx or machine head Hardware and these 2 bolts are reg domestic bolts.. BMWs are the nicest pieces of shit cars ever!!
