How to replace the diesel fuel filter- Mitsubishi triton MN/L200 [ DIY ]

This time on the channel, I show you how easy it is to change you're fuel filter in a MN & ML triton.
ML - 3.2L (4M41 engine) 2006 - 2009
MN - 2.5L (4D56 engine) 2009 - 2015

0:00 - Step 1. Removing the fuel filter & hoses/wires
0:46 - Step 2. Removing the Water sensor from the fuel filter
1:46 - Step 3. Removing the fuel filter from the housing bracket
2:45 - Step 4. Where & how to dispose of the old fuel filter
3:05 - Step 5. Installing the new fuel filter onto the housing
3:53 - Step 6. Installing the water sensor
4:30 - Step 7. Putting the filter back into the engine bay
5:28 - Step 8. How to bleed the fuel system
Please note, Step 8 is how you do it but in my triton, it takes me longer to bleed due to the Ryco pre diesel filter that is run before the factory filter which needs to fill before it will reach the factory filter. For every other MN triton, all you do is pump the valve on top as shown till it gets hard to push. Now try & start the vehicle. it may run for a few seconds then stall which is normal. Go back to the engine bay and pump it again till it goes hard again then try starting it once again. it should stay running now.
Tools required?
* Flat head screw driver
* Filter removal tool
* Bench mounted vice
* Soft jaw pliers

This is a demonstration on how I did this to my vehicle. I will NOT be held accountable for any damages you may/can cause following these steps. if you DO NOT know what you are doing, Take it to a qualified auto mechanic and have them change it for you

    @Abfs900 What did you want to see? It's the same as removing it. Just follow the removal steps and that's that's how it's done. - Plug the water sensor back together - Put the filter in the housing - Tighten the two 14mm nuts - Put the fuel lines back in - Start priming the filter till hard - Start the vehicle then you may need to prime it again until it will stay running.

    Thanks for the video, very helpful! Is it possible to do this without a vice?

    Might be hard to hold without a vice but I'm sure you could find a way to hold the mount while you undo/tighten the filter. Could remove the battery and maybe try Undoing the filter in the engine bay while it's still bolted in but without trying it and seeing it in person right this minute, it's hard to say.

    Bleed screw on the sensor or just prime it up and should be good?

    No bleed screw on a factory housing but the pre filter has one which I open to prime that before it starts filling the factory one. Easy as that👍

    Good vision, but lots of repetition yet some items not explained. Overall I can't recommend this as a tutorial.

    Ok thanks for the comment. Stated as a DIY video of how I do it on my own personal vehicle not how everyone else should do it on there's. How I did it here is the quickest and easiest way for my vehicle. Can you tell me how it has lots of repetition? Each step is listed and shown from how to remove the filter to how removing it off the housing then installing it back into the vehicle. I'm sorry you can't recommend this video.
