Great video brother. I'm a veteran who really enjoys simple and direct instructions. Your explanations were outstanding. You should have been a soldier. We need men who can train well and keep our young men squared away.

Thank you for being clear & concise. I have an old GT6000 with a 50" deck, so yes more pulleys, arms, etc. My belt came off before completing my first mow this season & needed a refresher & a boost of inspiration to get back out there & pull the deck off. Once I get my first mow completed, I usually replace my blades. Again, taking the deck off. The deck weighs half of what I do, so kind of a bugger to muscle around. Lol. Great video & I appreciate your VERY helpful tips throughout.😊

Thanks man... been looking everywhere as to how the control rod for the blades works. Your explanation in the middle of the video was perfect. My attachment engagement levar is extremely difficult to press forward. I just put a new belt on and everything is good. Now that I know how the tension is applied I can give it a once over again.

Fantastic video, the way you explain the mechanism by which everything operates e.g. how the blade engage rod provides tension adjustment to the belt helped me understand and therefore troubleshoot much better than any other video I have seen. Most other guys are like yeah pull out these pins and throw the belt on good luck. Yours is top notch. Keep it up.

I do Marine repair for a living and your video is excellent and very well thought out . The one thing I would recommend to everybody when you pull your deck is flip it over and check the blades . If they are worn or have huge nicks in them its easier to replace the blades while you got the deck out . I had to put in a standard black V belt in my deck because nobody in Elko nv has them I couldnt even order one and Homo Depot decided to eliminate half their mower parts and no long carry the belt for my deck they used to carry. Before there was two full long racks of belts now its down to half that and most of parts they had are gone. Had to go Ebarf and order the belt but I lucked out and got two for 30 plus tax free ship. Can you do a video on adjusting the tension? My pivot is threaded for my tension rod and you have to take it off to adjust the tension how can you get proper tension when you have to remove the pivot everytime? if they had just took the pivot and slid it on the rod with no threads with two jam nuts you could adjust it on the mower with the rod in place. Makes no sense 🤔

Great detailed video for replacing belt. I have this lawnmower and need to raise the deck, cuts to low in highest setting (6), do you have a video to explain process to get deck up, seems it doesn't allow the front to go up, just the rear. Thanks again.

Those spring clips aren't high-grade, unbendable spring steel. They are slightly malleable. You can bite them with some pliers and make them tight again. That one didn't open up because of age, wear, etc. It opened up because someone brute-forced it off last time they worked on it. Anyhow, really, REALLY thorough video. Well-done.

The piece you see at 3:50 I believe you called an idler pully rod. (the up and down portion with the paddle and hole in the top is broken on my lawn mower. Where can I find that? It is almost the same model as you have in this video, except my starter and gears are on the right side next to the seat instead of the floor.

Mine comes out the left side, goes forward to the front and the round muffler aims downward at the end of the exhaust pipe. It's all one unit and a replacement is over $100! I went to a machine shop with the entire assembly and a screw on 12hp muffler from Lowe's. They made me an exhaust pipe assembly (cutting up the original one) with a threaded pipe aiming downward to accept my $7.00 muffler replacement. They charged me $20.00! Beats $100!
