My 2015 Legacy's mirror glass came out and putting it back was a challenge. The video shows connecting via the top clips first. That way is very difficult to see to do the connection - but the bottom clips are very easy to see. I connected them first, then pushed on the top ones. Thanks for the getting me started.
Thank you, my mirrot plate fell out and my glass shattered. I did order new glass but I wanted to see if I would be ablut to snap it back in and it appears that it's possible. I have 2018 Forrester though but it looks pretty similar.
How about if my heated side mirror is not working. How to fix it? Thank you in advance!
I just did mine without a screwdriver and I don't think it's necessary to use one for either removal or installation.
My mirror clicks and won’t adjust at a certain point and it’s not an over adjusting it’s right on the edge of where I need it to be do you know why that is?

I had same experience after installing auto dimming side mirrors on 2018 Crosstrek. I'm not sure what was causing it but the new mirrors had 2 plastic post that the original mirrors didn't have so I cut them off and that allowed me to get more motion out of my mirrors but still slightly click at the fullest extension but I don't need it set that far so I adjust it in as I need without any issues. I'm not sure if it was the plastic post causing the issue or if the wiring is tight and restricting the mirror to fully extend. I left it as is since I'm able to set it where I need without any clicking. Maybe someone else has also had same issue and know what's causing it.
Does this work with the 2013 legacy as well?

@@1AAuto It worked for my 2015 Legacy. The main thing is to avoid using double stick tape as shown on KZread with many other cars.
What if the white plastic part fell off is there a way to put it back on

What do you mean "fell off"? It broke? Then, no, there's no way to put it back on except to glue it and even then it will be too flimsy when you reinstall the glass.

It snaps on easily.
