Haha yeah it was really dirty under there. That's my son's truck and I asked him if he wanted to clean under there, and he said no. I'll fix his truck if needed, but he's the one that needs to keep it clean.

Thank you for the video. I changed my ope truck seat out. 3 hours....lol....but it's nice to not have a car payment. Also this was the only video that didn't say take out the seat....I'm not experienced enough to know how and this was great.

I didn't just switch out the seat I bought a cushion took the foam out and replaced the cushion. The one they sent wasn't an exact fit and requires some trimming. I just go slow and enjoy myself.

Do you happen to know anything about hyundai elantras? I changes out the fuel pump and it didn't fix my issue. 😢

Thanks for the well explained video . I was thing to take the whole seat off … but I don’t have the T15 and T20 sockets to remove the seat . But this video save me a little cash .

You don’t need t15 and t20 sockets, use your regular socket until the right size fits, able to remove them with standard socket wrench and sockets! I thought I had to buy the T sockets but you don’t. Hope this helped

@@559caliii No you can't swap complete passenger seat to driver seat. The built in seatbelt would be on the wrong side. Even on manual seats, the controls are on the door side. I think it is possible to swap just the bottom cushion though. You would need to cut out a portion for any seat controls on the side.

Richmond upholstery sells replacement seat bottoms.

Do you have to get a seat cushion from the same model and year for it to work. The wire under the seat in my wifes 04 chevy silverado busted out and i would love to fix it.

You can use anything from a GMT800 99-06 Truck with buckets. Some seat fabric patterns changed through the years and there are different options of seats. But for the most part, they should be the same underneath.

Interesting I look for a video to get me seat apart and the 1st one I find is a fellow Minnesotan.
