Thanks. The front wipers were so easy and intuitive, I thought the rear would be the same. Not so without knowing to remove the cap!

When I took my car for maintenance they wanted to charge me over $30 to replace the rear wiper blade....I said no thank you I can do it myself and thanks to you now I know how so thank you!!!!!!

Thank you very much. I just replaced the 2 front wiper blades with silicon blades. They are much quieter. Any way, I just realized I needed to replaced the rear but could figure how to remove it. I didn't realize I had to snap off the back plastic part. I was afraid to try any harder fearing I might break something. So in conclusion. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this video.

Does this work with the Michelin 14” wiper? I am trying to put that one on and it seems like the blade entry point for the arm is too narrow so I can’t slide it in. Just wondering if there is a Mazda specific wiper blade I need to get.

Mazda uses proprietary OEM parts. I don't think Michelins will work. Try finding the front wiper blade replacements, I couldn't and only can get them through Mazda. Good luck!

The cap at the base is a key thing to know...I assume that is also the case for older CX-5s (I have a 2016.5)

I forced mine up and snapped part of the arm. Why do I research AFTER the fact? ugh

I have a 2020 C-30, after removing the cap, I cannot lift up the arm, won't budge. Front blades no problem.

Huh? I would think the mechanisms would be the same for all Mazda lineups with rear wipers. So, removed the rear cap and tried to raise the wiper and it won't budge... ??? Give your local Mazda service department a call and see if there is something else you need to do. I'm sorry it's not working easy for you. Have a great day and good luck Scott.

@@dexterbentley6336 Hmmm, I would think that Mazda would use the same part numbers for their CX SUVs. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Try visiting the dealer and asking them how to remove the rear wiper blades for replacement.

@@DarrenN4VFR I ended up figuring it out. On the 2020 CX30 there’s a stopper under the cap. So you’ve got to remove the cap and then the stopper in order to lift the blade. The stopper is incredibly tough to get out so I’ve decided to just have the dealership do it. I’m going there later today for an oil change anyway. Not sure why the 2020 model has it but the 2021 doesn’t and no other model seems to have it either.

I don't remember the price. Perhaps you can get an aftermarket blades for cheaper. Once you have the blades, it's easy to swap out.

It's completely unnecessary to remove the end cap

Not intuitive, couldn't find how to do it before watching your video and this is not documented in owners manual
