How to replace rear shocks on a Ford Ranger

In this video, I'll show you how I replaced the rear shocks on my 1995 Ford Ranger. This should work on all Rangers from 1993-2012

These shocks are for factory height 4WD or if you have a lift block or add a leaf on a 2WD (2-3" of lift), they should work, too.

Yes that’s what I’m running on the front with my leveling coil. I have a video on it.

I’m planning on putting a 4” lift on my ranger. Would 35” tires be big enough to fill the fenders and look good, do I need to go bigger and maybe do some trimming?

What year Ranger is it? I don’t know about looking good. That’s subjective. I would trim for sure. I could probably fit 35s with only a leveling coil, but I’ve trimmed my fenders a lot.
I have a Mazda b2300 1995 but I don’t have that 2 in block. Will it still fit?

is yours a 2wd? You’ll want to get the shorter shock
Thanks for the video. I like your attention to detail. Best practice is not to use a ratchet opposite an impact. You risk damaging the ratchet. Happened to me

Thank you for the tip! How long were you doing that before you found out it wasn’t good for the ratchet? I’ve been doing it for maybe 4 years. But I only wrench a few times a year.
How are the shocks quality?

I like them. I think they’re much better than a Rancho.
