Thanks for the great tutorial! It took me two evenings because I started late yesterday and ran out of daylight. But tonight I got her done. Those pesky electrical connectors!!!! And it took me a while to get that top screw closest to the mirror started back in that hole, because you can't get your fingers in there to start it.

EXCELLENT VIDEO! Let me start by saying I'm not a car guy at all. I had a portable basketball goal fall and break my mirror. I actually put off ordering the mirror and attempting to replace it after watching this video because I thought it would take a long time. I waited until a Saturday so I had plenty of time. I followed the video and it only took me between 30 and 45 minutes total! Thanks 1AAuto!

Thank you for this video! Once I found the right model video, 2002 Maxima SE (has the two screw covers--front under the mirror plate and in the door pull cup), replacing the dirver mirror was a PoC (piece of cake). I only broke two small clips--just like the one in the vid and he moved off to the side with his shoe--on the bottom of the door cover. It's all done and secure. Thanks again!

Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. Two points to note: Need a deep socket 10mm wrench, as well as one should be very careful with the plastic parts (while pushing in on the tabs to release the wiring connectors, as well as not applying sideways pressure while pulling the triangular panel held by the three standoff pins. The plastic tends to snap off as a result of age.

I did this an now my car wont turn over. Any idea why?

Do you have intell on howto replace 2002 infiniti i35 side mirrors or it the same as nissans

This video was VERY helpful. I followed each step and completed the job in about 20 minutes. Only thing left to do is get the mirror cap off from the original to put on the back of aftermarket mirror.

Hi 1a auto parts, I have some led arrow lights that I wan to install on my 2001 nissan maxima. I have watch this video and know that the door panel needs to be remove, but I need to remove the mirror it self for my to glue the led arrows on the back of it. do you know or have a video that shows that..? Is it hard to remove the mirror it slef on this type of nissans..? I need help asap on this . any advice will help, thanks

Is it necessary to remove the door panel to remove the side rear view mirror?

he did it the right way...the wrong way would be to let the top of the door panel hang open enough to disconnect the wire from mirror...
