Video was extremely helpful for fixing my second gen CRV, exactly the same procedure. Took me a whole weekend by myself on the garage floor with only a little help lowering and raising the transmission.

What setup did you use to raise the car high enough so the tranny had enough clearance to come out? Also, since you worked on the garage floor, how did you support the subframe?

Excellent! Some similar videos would not even try running if fixing really works. This lady gave me a lot of encouragement to DIY my Civic.
Nice work. Better than all the other videos I watched before this. They all failed to do a variety of different yet important tasks - or explain them. For example, the experts at ACT clutch didn't mention which side the friction disk should be facing. Cool!
Outstanding video, great teacher and props to the cameraman.
Just one thing id like to correct you on. You place the clutch on the flywheel with alignment tool then place the pressure plate over it. You really did a great job changing the clutch.

This is going to be fun to do in the driveway :) My clutch release arm is wiggly and wont let the slave operate it. I did the slave and master a few weeks back and it was perfect. I drove for about 2 years on a squishy hydraulic pedal, couldn't get the air out without taking it all out in one piece. I either ruined it or it was just time...
Thank you for making it very clear that I should leave this repair for someone like you. Nice video.

Love you video. Your amazing. I think the most impressive this about the video is you did it without even one swear word! I would have been 200 swears deep just getting to removing the clutch! 😅👍 Really appreciate the video. My brother and I are tackling this job tomorrow. This is gonna make it a breeze. 💖

How did it go?
Good job! I'm no pro mechanic, but I tried to leave the intermediate shaft on also, and trying to line up both the transmission input shaft and the intermediate shaft was a no-go. Faster to remove it and replace it, prevents damaging the carrier bearing mount too.
Very nice video! You explained everything! I have never seen a video like this before like your explanation!

Your my favorite you’ve saved me so much on repairs
highly recommended Milwaukee 3/8 stubby M12 impact gun and 1/2 M18 impact, they are so handy when you work in a close area like that, I use them everyday.
Great video. I'm amazed she didn't swear even once.

Did you put anti sieze or grease on the input shaft splines? Back in the day we believed that this had to be dry to prevent it from collecting clutch dust. Thx for the video

Of the 5 transmission bolts, I have 1 that is longer (same length as starter bolt). Where does the longer one go?
Where can we find that slide hammer hook?
AWESOME.....way to go sister! A H-E-R-C-U-L-E-A-N job, but Lady Wrench CRUSHED it! I'm all about the how-to, but I think I'd have to hand my wallet to Honda on this one. These Elements are cool, crazy corrosion though..... = (

How expensive is it to repair a AFS error , adaptive front lighting system of a Honda crv 2008 ?
How long did this entire job really take?
@1AAuto
5 жыл бұрын
+ZeroPoint Thanks for checking us out! This will take a decent chunk of time depending on the vehicle and if you have done this repair before and have proper equipment. On the low end it will take a couple to three hours and on the longer end, the better part of a day if you are unfamiliar or don't have proper tools. A shop will probably take 3-5 hours
Is this similar to the CRV from 02-06?

Sabroso Lopez Why does it matter if male or female? It should not matter, but I'LL bet more women whose cars breakdown , depend on a guy to fix it? I think everyone who owns a car should know some basics, including myself. We spend more money on our cars & Homes than we do on food, which is necessary for our Survival. this could be argued depending on size of your family & other factors. Good point u brought up, thanks 4 making me THINK 🙃
