Very helpful thanks for posting this. Just happened to my 2018 equinox. Brakes went stiff while driving and car wouldn’t start without brake. Lucky I didn’t crash.
Do not put your car on lift at the shop. Do it yourself with your jack or go to the places where they go below ground. Oil changes is causing this.
Will the parts from the connection to the camshaft brake and get into the engine?

Its around an hour
Is this connected to cars computer system? Like if I change it do I have to re initiate it in the system?
