OMG I did not even know such a filter existed until my friend told me! Called Toyota they want $25.00 just for the filter. I can get 2 on Amazon for that. A friend showed me how to replace the filter. Soon as my filter comes in i will do this! Thanks for the video!

They wanted to scam me for $139 🤣 can you imagine how many single ladies go to Toyota dealership, they give them a paper that says in red: cabin aifilter needs immediate attention! $139

Thank you!I removed the old one and it was insert side ways and dented. The arrows weren't pointing up or infront. And when I put it the right way, It looks lose.

Interesting that this filter seems to be made in the USA. That's a plus. ➕

This comment comes from Fram concerning my confusion with installing the cabin filter on my 2017 Rav 4: Dave 11:41 Hi Donald, The arrow on the Fram filter is an air flow indicator and installs with the arrow pointed downward. We are working on correcting the on-line videos- we have some issues with a third party supplier of the videos.

Toyota parts show an arrow "UP" to orient the filter. But "UP" is not the direction of the airflow. Fram filters show an arrow for the air flow direction. For that filter, the arrow should be pointed Down.

I received a KZread comment that a Fram video tutorial says to point their air flow arrow up. Yes, I watched it. But the air flow thru the compartment is down. So now I'm confused too.

John Herbert Further to Don Corrigan’s reply, I also used a Fram air filter and found it to be confusing also as the one I took out had the ‘this way up’ arrow pointing up. The Fram filter had an arrow pointing down but I figured the writing on the end should be right side up and that arrow was only indicating the direction of air flow. Orient the words, letters, or numbers the right way and that will be correct.
