Tbh it's pretty soothing isn't it?

I think it's a faulty airbag module as apposed to just resetting crash data! the fuel cutoff means in the event of an accident the fuel cutoff will not be triggered which I believe is controlled by the module which is at fault, if it can be repaired so you should be able to re calibrate it to the main ecu with your software my module failed but not due to an accident but just old age i guess, I was unable to recalibrate mine myself so it was replaced and recalibrated by a local special and a major cost to me but all is good now, no lights and a fully functioning air bag system once again ! 👍

Seems like mine needed repairing and that seems to work with a proxy alignment to connect it all back up. If it wasn't for eBay, I'm sure the cost would have been a small fortune.

@@carsalvage101 yes they ate around £600 new plus recalibrating/ fitting labour and vat 🙄

Result Alex , the airbag module can be a faf to get at . For some reason in a lot of cars they are a real pain to get to .

There are other parts in that 500 behind the dash that I wish I could get to....the airbag module not as bad...but big hands don't help! :)

Done Many of these (ECU Airbag Modules) Crash data removal does not allways Fix the problem. There is Hard Data stored in some ! and can not be fixed

I wish I had the equipment to do it myself. But I'm hoping that's it's all sorted now.

How do the two clips come out of the module

I’ve had the same out of range errors on blue and me. If you don’t clear the codes it won’t proxy align.

Fuel cut unavailable means that in the event of an accident where the supply of fuel is cut off to the engine is not working so the fuel would keep flowing. The third bolt is easier to get to from the drivers side.

I'll have to try that 3rd bolt from drivers side, I didn't try it.... probably as the car was too close to a wall and I couldn't get tht door open enough.

You need a laptop, multiecuscan software and a obd cable and you are set to go :)
