I have a 2003 Cavalier and it has the same stuff in the steering wheel. if I wanna install a sport steering, can I use the yellow arness that was connected to the airbag to conect the horn to the new steering wheel?

They may have it in by now if you ordered it a couple years ago but you might want to call and check first. I'm back order can be a real bitch playing with buying this president you'll be lucky then be able to order two sticks to run together.

Hi, and thanks for the video. Why does the clockspring have to be "aligned" to the coil, and how accurate does the alignment have to be? At 12:27 you pull the "alignment pin", and then at 12:35 you move the unconnected steering wheel (and thus the clockspring). If I stupidly remove the alignment pin before installing the part, how can I confirm proper alignment and/or manually re-align it?? Thank you.

where is the clock spring for a 1999 chevy tahoe on your site?

I have a 1995 GMC Sierra my airbag light is on continuous and my cruise control don't work either, are both issues a direct cause of a bad clockspring or are they separate issues?

How do you remove the plate behind the part that u changed ?

Is there more than one way to put it on as my steering wheel is upside down and I was gonna pull it and flip the clock spring to get it right side up

Can my 95 silverado steering wheel fit the 99 tahoe steering wheel?

If this is due would it cause it to have no power to the horn wires / plug? Ive checked all the fuses & relays i can find and all seem good there. I have the air bag removed from the steering wheel and manually pushed in on the "horn button" even using a screw driver.. Nothing! All looks the same from the vehicle on video to the 1996 chevy blazer im working on with the contact tabs and no wires to the horn button / spring behind airbag..

Ok, I need this clock spring but have tried the links to find it. None lead to the clockspring.

Grate video ! But I didn't remove the upper cover or ignition to remove and replace the clock spring ! Not sure why you did ?

I agree, about not being sure why he engaged the key cylinder. I know that the steering wheel is locked when in one of those positions on the key cylinder [the 'off' position]. But I don't know if that hinders the removal of the clock spring?

I have a 08 CTS can't find clock spring on your website why?

What code would be thrown to indicate a bad clock spring?

I know my '95 Silverado K1500 Z71, has a small round like metal plate on the steering column shaft directly in front of the clock spring. I can't figure out how to remove it. The lock plate puller doesn't work work on this. I may be 'operator' error....me! I don't think so, but lets wait until the manual gets here.

Went to your website to buy a clockspring for a '98 Tahoe. Searched under K1500 truck but didn't get any search results. Do you still carry this part?

Pretty useless to have a link to parts you DO NOT carry or can even obtain.Was there a US shortage when making aftermarket air bag clock springs for 95-98 1500/2500's either 2x4 or 4x4 pickups/suburban ? I mean not like there are 95 gmc/chevy C/K 1500 0r 2500 vehicles still being used now days eh. Glad they still make rest parts of them but nothing for the Safety devices huh.

Did you even have to remove the ignition

How can you test clockspring to see if it's bad?

Honk your horn, turn on the switches in the steering wheel, or an airbag light remains on in the instrument cluster. These are easy "tests" for the clock spring.

Does this work on a 1994 Chevy ?

Very helpfull but the soundtrack is unnecessary and distracting. Nobody comes here to listen to this awful music
