I've got a gasket with large bumps on the non hinge side in 3 places preventing the door from closing all the way. I tried the heat gun to soften and flatten them out but didn't work. Anything to do to the gasket prior to install to help get these out. They are almost knotted up from the mfg for shipping. also, what temp do you run on the heat gun?

You can remove the magnet from the hinge side and that should allow the door to close. The hinge side doesn't necessarily need a magnet. If you would like to send a few photo's or video to Sales@DiyGaskets.com we can take a look and further assist. As far as the heat gun you can set it at about 120 degrees. Please keep in mind to not keep the heat in any one area too long as to not melt the rubber. DIY

can you suggest an adhesive to use when replacing an old cove base in a walk in cooler? I will use rivets but need adhesive also. Thank you very much.

Nothing that expands. Also nothing like construction adhesive as this will be a nightmare if you ever have to replace it again.

Cove base adhesive is always the correct adhesive. It's in the flooring section at home centers

So is the heat gun softening the gasket to mold better to the door?

Sorry for the late response. Yes it helps the gasket fill in any gaps when installing.

where do I got the gaskets? the gaskets fit most of the type walkin fridge?

Sorry for the delay in responding. There are some walk-in cooler companies that use staples. You would have to use a sharp edge to remove these. We would suggest laying the door flat on the ground for this.
