Just did a bolt on gasket on a Kenmore standing chest freezer. Certain spots of the gasket done swat completely flat when the door is closed shut. I assume this is from the old gasket having expanded from the heat over time? Is there a fix for this? I currently have applied pressure to the door and tapped shut to allow the new gasket to mold and seat entirely flat.

Recently replaced gaskets on old walk in cooler doors that had damaged track that the gaskets fit into. It was very difficult. Can the tracks be replaced?

I have the same problem. 30 year old lowboy. the retainer is broken and very brittle.

Yes the track can be replaced. Depending on how damaged the door itself is. Use simple adhesive and not an expanding one like Gorilla Glue

Having worked in the refrigeration industry, gaskets are so often ignored. I like the way these guys approach this - making sure you get what you need.

I had a hard time starting to peel off the old gasket on my Traulsen g12000. I looked real hard on the bottom door, on the 1 o'clock position, and pulled the gasket out. Then I noticed the channel (Track) where the gasket slips into, is more or less part of the door. I think it is glued in. I tugged on that corner of the gasket and pulled the part that would touch the freezer and was able to see how it should come off. I kept pulling and it peeled right off. Pull on the gasket not the gasket track, it kind of looks the same, but if you pull the gasket away from the door it should pull out of the track and come right off. I just went slow and it came off in on big piece. The new gasket I pushed in with my thumbs. The bottom at about 5 o'clock had a slight gap. I did not have a heat gun and could not find my hair dryer. I used a small room heater with a fan on it. Just heated it up a bit and pulled on the gasket of what would be next to the freezer and not the door side. Heated, pulled, heated, pulled. Now there is only the slightest bit of a gap which I will watch and I think it should work it's way out. The old gaskets were in one piece but were kind of warn and not sealing all that well and were kind of hard. They were also nasty and kind of moldy, even though I cleaned them and treated them with silicon - gasket conditioner to try to soften them up. I figured it would be best to replace the gaskets. I think I went to the mentioned gasket web page and typed in my model, and in a day or two had my gaskets delived in a great big flat box. They arrived very quickly. I'll keep the old gaskets for an emergency.

We are happy to assist. When removing the old gasket you may also use an "all" tool for the corners to get them started. Make sure you peal the gasket slowly as to not damage the track.

Hi if i measure both gaskets on a frigidaire two door fridge is it possible for you to supply them, it is a two door side by side.

I'm having the hardest time finding gaskets for my Commerical Display Systems doors. They don't have model numbers but instead Work Order numbers as I assume they were made custom.

I ordered gaskets about 5-10mm to long. It fits in, but the seal is all bunched up? Is this fixable without buying all new again. Will the seal sort itself out overtime?

Hello, Depending on the age and condition of the hinges and door this can sometimes be an issue. If it is bunching on the hinge side you can remove the magnet and still have a seal.

Sounds about right. Maybe you can do it yourself cheaper or buy some good quality 'stick in place' foam gaskets and create a tighter seal.
