12 mm x2 for the small bolts holding the line 17 mm x2 for the bolt caliper 17mm x4 for the 4 bolts holding the bearing. Make sure your hammer screw is set to lose lmao. 😂

How much should it cost for a bearing replacement? I have brand new 2022 civic with 19k kms on it. Is it ever covered for new cars?

Yes but not for this specific car but similar ones.. if you don't have a shop press autozone rents out the bearing removal and installer tool set 🙂

How are all the parts so clean and no rust? My canadian civic which is 7 years old has rust on all parts. Concernted the bearing will be stuck in the nuckle. Perhaps I should just let a mechanic take care of it.

If you got a big ass hammer 🔨 to shock it off .. you'll be ok.😁

I believe I used a 12 mm , 17 mm and Philips socket for the rotor ,and a 3/8 long rachet ...but a good 3/8 8mm to 19 mm socket set 3/8 long rachet blue thread lock will get the job done

No high heat grease between the bearing and nuckle needed?

Not really but you can apply anti seize between barring and knuckle for easy removal for the next time

@@luckysdiygarage whats the rule when to apply grease or anti seize? For example between the brake pads and caliper bracket, would you use grease or ani seize? People seem to use eaither. What you recommend?

  • @luckysdiygarage

Yeah for brake pads and caliper bracket I usually never put any brake Grease I only put grease on the slide pins after cleaning them.. and I just installed a new hardware and install the new pads... Some technicians use Grease some technicians use anti-seize some don't add any Grease...
