    Thank you!! you did a great job of explaining the process, what tools would be needed, and clearly walked through each step. One of the best I've ever seen. I don't say that lightly because having an old 2003 Trailer blazer starting to replace some of the major components. I am sure I will be looking at other videos.

    One year later and still is helping save money. Throughout the year I've replaced the break calipers on 3 out of 4 (4th still great shape) bleed properly however I don't really hear that noise or it could be very small. Both the family mechanic who takes care of the parts I'm unable 2 do myself where thinking about replacing the break booster. I would not be surprised if that check valve or the line has a small issue with it. This vid has already saved me a good amount of money whichever the end cause turns into. I don't recall him ever checking the main lines to and from booster. Mainly the break lines.

    Before you put the master cylinder on you should check the rod clearance to the master cylinder or it could be too long or in to far so that it dosen't keep pressure on the brakes and lock them up

    Hey! I have a trailblazer ext lt but I am in Europe. Is there any US shop where I can buy parts? Last week, my break was working perfectly until I washed the chevy with those pressure water machine in the gas station. Since then, my break is spongy and makes that sound in your video. It has good level of liquid and so far, breaks perfectly but with the spongy pedal. So, two question: where can I buy parts and how dangerous is to drive the chevy to the garage where someone can fix it (it is around 40-50 miles) Thanks!

    You can drive it to the garage but I wouldn’t drive it too much. I buy my parts online. Walmart.com sells parts, as well as eBay and Amazon. If it’s more complex electronic parts and sensors, don’t waste money on online parts. Those are too intricate to buy cheap Chinese parts.

  • @PhillipsVision

    @PhillipsVision

    3 жыл бұрын

    I filed the flat part of the shaft where it meets the brake pedal. Some aftermarket boosters are not as precise as the oem part and the excess of metal will cause the pedal to slightly press on the sensor causing the light to stay on

    If the brake booster is bad and needs replacing...would you go ahead and replace the master cylinder as well regardless? I got a 2006 tblazer w/50k miles on it. I have no idea what the lifespan of a master cylinder is. But everything on this suv seems to be failing all at once.

    If you want to play it safe you can, but I don’t like to replace parts unless needed. I’ve never had one fail before. On average people say last around 100k, yet all my vehicles have well over that and none failed. One car had over 220k with the original.
