There is a Primary Piston and Secondary Piston in that master, if that master is leaking in booster the fluid is going to be suck in the engine via the booster hose..check inside of booster hose.

Great video, thanks My question is when flushing the brake fluid from my friends car I cannot get fluid to come out of any of the 4 wheels, if it was only one wheel that wasn’t bleeding I know that it would be likely a bad caliper but on all four wheels, could it be the abs unit that giving problems or master brake cyclinder. Thanks

Scotty, Chris, and others recommend using flare wrenches to unscrew the nuts from brake cylinders. Flare wrenches hold 5 sides of a nut, whereas regular wrenches hold 2 sides only. You did use flare wrenches too. Just noticed.

I am no expert so take this with a phat grain of salt, but I would think with a pressure bleeder that you might not need to bench bleed since it forces all the air through. Tthat is what it does with regular bleeding of the system but I don't know for sure though.

My 07 Lexus RX 350 break padel sink, (not all the time and not everyday) master cylinder has been charged twice problem still exists, has been bleeded couple of time, everything else is good, no leak anywhere why do you think it’s happening? Thanks

I’m having the same problem but I haven’t got a leak and have bleed the brakes,iv tested the servo and it good, so now I’m thinking it’s the master cylinder.? My brake pedal sinks to the floor when engine it on, and it’s like you have to pump the brakes to get a hard brake.? Any information would be great

Hi. I am sensing some issues with my brake pedal. Let's say I am driving on highway and not using brake pedal for 15 mins. I have noticed that to apply brakes, it needs a little hard foot. It becomes scary at times. However in city driving like stop n go driving the brake pedal works very good. What could be the issue?

Hey guys, it would mean a lot if you could help me with a question. So I have a soft pedal and one of two things, master c. or air in the system. My car has hill assist and when the brakes lock up it is the abs doing the job right? In that moment if my master cylinder had an internal leakage my pedal would still be soft because its the same as blocking the master c. outputs right? BUT, when hill assist is activated my brake pedal is rock solid meaning my master C. has no internal leakage and the problem could potentially be air in the system am I thinking right? Another thing, I bleed all 4 wheels but the pedal is still soft, could the abs module itself need bleeding? I see on youtube people bleeding the abs module for that reason. Please tell me if im thinking right. Thank you

Find another master cylinder on a vehicle at the auto Wreckers. Remove the fittings , cut the lines, long enough to bend the lines to sit in the reservoir to submerge under the fluid level to bleed the master cylinder. If buying over the counter, it should come with bleeder kit.

8:00 not true. If you loose brake fluid in one side of reservoir, the pedal will still sink. The air from one side will get into the other.. air can get past the MC piston seal. A true safety measure is dual master cyl. The only way to keep both separated.
