I removed them to clean them, as had musty smell in machine, used all the cleaning washes going, but nothing worked, was so easy to remove and replace, such clear instructions, Thank you . I now have a squeak on slow spin since cleaning them, probably just a coincidence, anyone else had this happen? Thanks

Added to my "Fixing Things (instead of breaking them)" playlist... All I needed from this video, was the reassurance to know it was the sixth hole and not the third, fourth, fifth, seventh, eighth, or ninth hole. Bought the replacement Hotpoint paddle from a kitchen appliance shop, which funnily enough was their last one and fitted it in less than three minutes to finally do the pile of washing I'd have done yesterday. Thank you for making this video clear. 😎

It's a miracle! Amazing! I could never do that! And I had no idea that it was possible!!! Even now I don't understand how it works. But I did it!!! I am from Ukraine and never before I could find such clear tutorial in Ukrainian or Russian. Now I am completely happy (would be completely happy if there was no war in my country)! Thank you ))

Thank you so much for this, I can't mine back on. I have a new part and it just won't click back in, however hard I try to push it. I'm not sure one of the sides is lying flush with the drum. The metal tab is in the right position - are you able to offer any advice, please? The last one came off because the clip bits sheared off, so it more or less just fell off. Your video is very clear, thank you, but mine just isn't going back on, even when I am pushing so that the whole machine is moving back! Thank you for anyone's ideas, thoughts or feedback

I know it sounds silly but first of all is it the correct paddle for the machine, and if it is then i assume you are pushing it on the correct way round.

I found plastic shredded parts in my washing machine and I have no idea where it comes from, I tried cleaning the filter and in the small hole on to the left it's full of shredded plastic as well. Should I buy a new one or is it a easy fix? I have the feeling the pump or so might be clogged .

Hi so I have a problem - the paddle keeps coming out on one section of my washing machine after being installed because it can’t lie flat - the back section is lifted and it thus slides out. I think this is due to the shape of the drum becoming deformed but how would I even fix this problem

Nobody spotted that at about 2 minutes 20 seconds you refer to the drum securing tab - the one that needs bending - as being a plastic tab. It is of course a metal tab.
