My goodness, I have a 10 hole paddle and can't find any way to get the flaming thing out. What a nightmare and extremely frustrating. I've tried every hole, pressed softly, firmly, pushed forward, backward, just about everything on earth and nothing has budged or moved an inch. Right now, I could give it a big kick and throw the whole thing out.......

Mine doesn't just "clip into place"... has taken a lot of fiddling about and I am certain at least one of them is going to come off when I attempt to do a wash. I think it's that centre clip is the problem

Can you tell me how to replace a paddle (10 hole) on a 5yr old AEG 6000 series Lavamat because I don't know if it clips or screws in?

Just replaced one on my machine, and this was useful in getting me over the line. But it is, I feel, an odd design. Would have been helpful if certain things would have been explained better. Firstly, the plastic paddle is symmetrical, will fit in either way; could do with just saying that. Secondly, the 'clip' is just a section of the drum cut out, so only has the 'spring' of that steel, nothing more. So when bent out of the way firstly, it stays there. Presumably, on putting the new paddle in place, the clip is depressed by the central transverse webbing and springs back up once the paddle is slid into position. The means of holding being the side of the clip against the side of the center webbing. This is contrary to most designs where some part moves up the ramp before making the step change, as in electrical connectors; which at first sight is confusing. Hope this helps somebody.

Yes I agree. On my paddle at the front edge I have three plastic ridges and on rear is a square plastic ridged box shape. I looked at the other paddles and they also have the three plastic ridges at the front so I fitted it like that?
