good looking out on telling us that the CV axle you got from autozone the locking nut was a 41mm socket. you saved me a lot of time and money. I went to Napa as well to get the 41mm socket.

Stuck on the inner shaft. Been hammering and prying on the friggin thing for two hours. Time to pray to the PB Blaster gods

that 41mm socket is close enough where you can use 1" 5/8 instead if that's all you can find.

That bushing on the sway bar is hanging one for dear life 😂😂😂

"Don't yank the chain"? Lol, standing in the line of fire of a projecting chain is equally a bad idea. Heck, using a chain for recovery is a dumb idea. Tow/snatch strap next time please

Keep the brake caliper on and have a friend press the brake so you can get the outer nut off.I'm not sure how you did it without

why exactly did you take that ball joint off? and looks like you're missing some sort of a washer/spacer on the axle nut it's a castle nut for a reason

My 96 4 runner has 322k miles and the original cv axles are still going strong. LBJ has failed on both sides and been replaced but CV are good

Question: I have a 96 4runner sr5 (not 4wd) and I don't see the cv joint where it normally should be
