thanks Jane!! this help me to fix my printer. As an engineer I just can say shame on Canon for this issue, this is unacceptable for a product of this company.

I just did that repair, March 2024, but to reinstall the wide ribbon connection, I had to unsolder the two capacitors that are in front of the ribbon connection and then re-solder them back.
