I found the easiest fix, toss in the garbage and order a newest one compatible with the cartridge/paper. 😂, that’s what I did !

I have a Selphy CP530 and I found you don't have to disconnect and unscrew all of that. Once the cover was open and two connectors pulled, I could lift the entire mechanism out of the case (bending plastics a little) and the failing gear could be seen. I only want it to work long enough to use up the ink I have since 3 years ago, I will not spend a single penny on more.

Canon is basically junk .Had a 1300 ,used it half a dozen times and yip kaput .solution use a different company .
