This worked perfect for me to reattach the deck. I took it off to attach a plow and I forgot how to put it back on. Thanks

Nice job. When I read this in the manual it seemed harder but after watching your video I had the deck off in 5 minutes. To remove the blades takes a 15/16 socket and the tighten torque is 50 lbs. per the manual. Also, it was way easier to grease the zirk fittings on the top of each blade pulley with the deck removed!

I have a 2014 S240 and it has been a good mower. I bought a mower jack from Harbor Freight for $89 and it makes blade removal so much easier.

Doug Gracy yes I use it to lift a S240 and X320 John Deere no problem.

Very informative video letting me know how to remove the mower deck. I'm guessing the 42" and the 48" decks are removed the same why...yes?

I think there are a few different mower decks so they will all be a little different to take off.

I didn't understand the PTO button. You talked about it on or off but didn't show the position needing to be. PTO on or off for the belt removal?

It does not matter if the PTO button is up or down when removing the mower deck. i would always have the button in thre down/off position when working on the machine and if by chance it is in the up position, your tractor will not start.
