Ok so I’m seeing we use the little ribbon because it’s safer to use an iron than hot air on a new screen? And are we reading on cracked screen and writing on replacement and the vid is edited? Cause it looks like you threw the replacement screen on and just hit read then write.

what to do if technician transfers the ic first then the true tone after. now, the apple reads my ic as unknown display part.

I changed the ic forst then true tone, now it still says unkown part. Why is this?

You need original display and copy the system to new screen in order to get true tone

If you can not take the original screen IC, the phone will keep popping up the unknown part message, the only solution is to ask Apple official repair to deal with it

Sir I replaced my display from a market which is not original but close to orignal and it cost me expensive also but after repair my phone screen is looking dull and icons and texts are looking little blur with low pixels i have also 12 mini. They are claiming that if i i charge extra for true tone they will also installed it and after installing true tone it will be normal i want your help i m very confused 😢

This is usually because of a flex damage in iPhone X and newer models (Check rear flash flex and charging port)

And the customer who you are screwing by secretly selling them cheap parts.

We personally charge $50 and use only original. If the screen is still good we can transfer the chip over to the cracked screen. But it seems like this is slightly safer but in the end you may ruin the cracked screen if you’re not a microsoldering professional. And considering devices such as 14 promax and 13 promax are worth so much money if the display still good for it’s really never worth risking the transfer unless someone’s willing to pay extra.

you wouldnt know if this ic repair is done. would have to remove screen and look for signs of microsoldering, but in any event if the screen works with or without a warning message then all should be well.

No, it doesn’t mean it’s fake. It will still give the warning even if it is a genuine product. Apple doesn’t want repair shops repairing their phones without apples permission. They are trying to get people to buy a new phone.

Dude. If I charged my customers for this, they would be like FUCK THAT! But if they see a message, they tweak. But I be telling them that it’s just Apple hating on us and then they are happy. Unless the phone is for a gift, but then we give them our customer care plan which is kinda like Apple care and then it ALMOST KIND MAYBE Makes up for it……..

Personally I say no to repairing later iPhone models. I advice customers to smash the phone completely and use their insurance instead, or send it to Apple. They clearly doesn't want any third party repairs being carried out! Complicating things with special screws is one thing, but locking components and disabling functions is just sinister... I do repairs more or less as and hobby so investing in programmers and advanced tools that might get used only a few times just isn't feasible.

As a repair business owner and distributor of electronics, I feel like I can respond to this. You can invest in programmers and tools to take care of your customers better and provide more services to them. This is why we fight for the right to repair. Everyone should have the right to repair their products and not be subjected to ridiculous pricing from the manufacturer. Whenever a company such as Apple try to create failsafes in their technology, we find ways around them such as these so we can serve customers the right way. Plus, the investments always pay themselves off!

Thats a narrow-minded response How does a video doing an excellent repair indicate that If someone took the time to transplant ics and restore trutone They are probably a reputable enough business to communicate what they are doing with the customer

Not possible, you would need to change the whole processor which is equivalent to replace the motherboard... You won't get another processor from anywhere else
