@@0soft Not very convenient to add noise artifacts in order to remove banding, which is already an artifact. The image may have less banding but now it has degraded pixel quality as well.

Most of content and screens are 24 bit (8 bit per channel). It can represent much less colors than our eye can see. So, you can clearly see the transition between 2 closest colors if colors are flat. You don’t notice that on the images like photos without solid gradients mostly,

Yeah... like work in 16 bit per channel colour and have a quantiser that adds noise or dithers when you flatten to 8 bit.
