I know it's expensive but I highly recommend the 1989 Batmobile and batwing. They are great sets and definitely some of my favorite.

I did this trick as soon as the keyring was released It works as an amazing alternative

This feels like one of those lego minifigure design knockoffs that are genuinely better than logo's designs.

It is a minifig It was just retooled by LEGO the original figure is tooo hard to get Thankfully I have the batmobile but I don’t want to mess with that figure I like keeping the keychain as is But I also like an extra for removing The cape piece on its own is really nice for display

I agree that it IS a Minifig, In the sense that it plays like one and displays like one BUT there are people out there who would try to pass this off as the official non-keychain version and price gouge unknowing people. Thankfully I too have the Batmobile but I don't want to mess with that figure either.

I would keep the cowl piece and give him a new head(matching one)and the basic Batman torso and legs coz the cape/cowl covers it

Agreed, but it’ll be a different style, since the leaked images show Keaton with the 1992 cowl while this one is the 1989 cowl.

This summer? My god, from what we saw, the CHI is absolutely horrible. It’s beyond being Marvel levels of bad CGI. The Flash CHI literally looks like a video game. When I first saw an image of the movie, I thought I was looking at a video game, and a video game with bad graphics as well.

That Batman NES music brought me back! Batman was one of my favorite NES titles with an amazing 8bit soundtrack

Bonus Points for using the NES Batman video game background music ...!

So, I could have a minifig with waist articulation by doing this and then filing down the lower part of the inner portion to a cylinder? Got it.

That Mjolnir tool set is the coolest thing I have ever seen

I remember as I kid doing something similar like this with a minifigure. But instead of a keychain it was a refrigerator magnet. Sometimes it works but there were some of my Lego Star wars Minifigures that looked like a dog chewed the legs. But thanks for showing another option.

Love they they bothered with the detail under the cowl when 99% of people will never see it

Much easier to get a keychain and just take the keychain part off. I once got a Commander Gree Phase II keychain, and I just took the keychain part off instead of spending a whole bunch of money on the actual figure. I also did the same with one of their larger scaled keychain minifigs with the flashlights in them. It’s just fun to have a giant minifig in the collection

I used to do this all the time when I was younger. If you don’t care about your mini figures being authentic this is a great alternative, especially since a lot of times the key chains are cheaper then buying the original minifigures.

I love how the keychain one and the poly bag containing him cost around the same. One takes less to do and can be customized better and comes with a stand for it.

I did the heat one with a Ninjago jay keychain like 5 years ago

1:That tool case is the balls 2:This helped greatly. Now I have a badass Robotic Maul and a badass Adult Ahsoka

just in time! snagged a OG two face keychain for $3 on bricklink! most of the keychain was already missing so half the job is done for me!

I got my dad the same toolbox for Father’s Day as well lol

Personally I use the candle/fire method to get all of the metal out at once and it’s much easier too

I usually do that but I wanted to see if we could do the alternative/safer way for kids/teens.

When I was little, I remember seeing one of these but it was a storm trooper. I loved it so much but I never really love the chain. I remember how my mom would try and take it off. Brings back memories, lol. (she ended up taking it off :D)

wow didn't know that's what it looked like, I love the batman 1989, I got two of the batwings but still sad I missed the 89 batmobile... it's a ton more now unfortunately for me

This is a really good way to get this figure but I do want to mention for those who can still find it there is a poly bag with the same exact figure but not a keychain version that's how I ended up getting it

Two things. I made this video months before the Polybag was released/announced. Secondly, the Polybag Minifigure is technically different. The symbol on the chest differ (Keychain-1989’s Logo versus Polybag-1992’s) as well as the torso being different, (Keychain-1989’s is more muscular while the Polybag-1992’s is more angular).

What I like to do is I carefully hold it over a lighter so the peg that goes down into the minifigure is warm enough to pull out, but that would be a problem for a Batman minifigure

Or you could take a lighter and heat one end of the keyring and pull it out, that's what i did for the VIP chrome red minifig. Kinda regret it though, it's such a cool keychain.

The Lego keychains are only available through the official store/website right now, since it has only been available for 3 weeks. As for the plyers, needle nose plyers would probably work better, but I used what I had on hand :)

I have a original Batman mini fig from the High Flyer set (now in pieces) but I lost the fabric cape.

I don't know what everyone's opinion are about bootlegs but there are some bootlegs that are vey cheap on aliexpress, some brands are better then others but some are almost identical to Lego in quality. They are usually un $2 and often have free shipping.

I think I’d just take the cape and use it on a diff Batman fig lol

I was gonna make a fake Mr gold mini figure using a golden lego mini figure Keychain until I found out what is inside a Keychain mini figure
