What audio device did you select in your settings? Did you pick the ASIO driver for your audio interface? Do you have speakers connected to the interface? Or is the audio just playing through the internal computer speakers?

@@ProductionDen the audio device I selected in my settings is ASIO4ALL v2 I really appreciate your help man🙏 also the when I select this the audio plays through the internal computer speakers. If I try and connect it through the audio interface through the headphones, for some reason it doesn’t work through the mic

Okay. Sounds like you might need to download the driver for your audio interface. And then select that ASIO driver from the audio settings in FL Studio. You’re using the generic ASIO driver. So it may not be recognizing the audio interface correctly.

i just got my first audio interface, fl studio producer edition, totally green, acoustic guitar and a dynamic microphone, and a cool beat is where im at, recording my vocals is different than guitar, totally wish i could invite you over for a beer or coffee, or whatever. im in toronto, i dont see anything else but music in my future, thanks for motivating and showing me how to do some things.

Thank you! The other videos were too confusing in that they rattle off everything so fast and/or moving the tiny cursor so fast i can't keep up. I finally got sound out of this thing and feeling better about my purchase. Lol. I've used Adobe Audition and recently updated my desk top..so i got FL. Finding my way around is very different. I'll be looking forward to your latest vids on this program!

Bro I've been on fl for over 10 years (fl studio 9 LOL) and the BEST TIP I could give, is watch as many different fl studio KZread videos as you can!! Simon servida has some rly good videos on the more basic and theory driven parts of fl studio if you need that kind of stuff

Thank you so much, Production Den. I have learnt so much from your fl studio tutorials. But I wanted to know what I can do if a part of my first vocal recording is not perfect. Let's say there's a mistake at the end of the vocal and I just want to re-take that part. What do I do? Should I record that part on a new mixer track? Can't I cut off that part and re-record that part on the same mixer track?

You can definitely record new parts. If you know the part you want to re-record, you can slice it off of the original take and mute it using the mute tool in the playlist. then record in the new part.. Could you make a video showing I guess the setup needed when using "Pitcher" or any other AutoTune type vst because I have the same driver you have and im using a Presonus Interface and I tried using a Snowball mic first then a C-1 Behringer mic but for some reason the "Pitcher" or any other vocal plugin doesnt seem to work as easy as it has for users ive watched videos of. Its like it trys to work

Hello! I have a question, when i was recording vocals, I would play the vocal tracks, I couldn't hear them and I have my mic on input 1 and I am having a hard time trying to figure this out, do you know what the issue might be?

I've used cubase and protocols I'm now I'm fl because of the ease in beat making.but man the work flow on recording on fl is somewhat a pain I wish you can just select a track and hit record like most daws but not fl...my question does ot automatically record on the track thata available next ?

Could you use the pre/post effects button on the mixer if you wanted to record a dry version of vocal? (Pretty good voice by the way!).

You absolutely can use the pre button to record a dry signal.

Bro mased up with my mixer tracks. I am recording in the selected track and the other instrument tracks are picking up as well. How can I switch off the other tracks from picking up my microphone. Need your help please.

This is what I do (but not sure if I've been doing this right?) or did it automatically go to track 6 on the playlist in this video. By the way loving that Melody and vocals...

Hey DreSoul! I didn’t set track 6 on the playlist. But there is an option to link a playlist track with a mixer track. I found some drawbacks with doing it that way , but if it helps you, go for it. I usually end up just Naming and color-coding tracks as I start to develop the project into a full arrangement.

Hey been recently watching your videos they r super beneficial . Ive been producing with FL for quite some time now but now I’ve been more engaged in learning the engineering side . Ive seen many ppl use pro tools as they’re go to for recording, i even have it downloaded already and wanted to teach is to myself . But that means i will have to learn a whole other daw once again . Is that really necessary? Do u NEED pro tools for recording beautiful vocals or that just me who thinks that? Like i said I’ve been using FL, should i stick to that n learn on it?

I don’t think the daw has much of anything to do with the quality of the vocals you can record and produce. The mixing is where you are going to develop the sound of the vocal more. And obviously making sure that you do everything you can to record the best possible vocal takes you can.

Does anybody know what right clicking the audio and selecting "Recording starts playback" does? And I can't figure out why when I record a vocal into the mixer channel, the green meter is not jumping or showing up after I record into the mixer channel and/or playlist? It shows while I'm recording, or before I record, but the meter is not jumping after I record the vocal or my synth into the mixer and playlist? Please, somebody?...SBN RESONATE

Hey I’m trying to figure out why my mic keep flat line I get a sound coming out of my speakers but on fl studio all I’m getting is no sound and a straight line where u get the wave for your voice

When I record it blends with my beat .. I chea the beat playing with in the vocals after recording any help
