How To Rebuild Droplet In DigitalOcean With A Fresh Operating System (OS) Image

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I will show you how to rebuild a DigitalOcean droplet with a fresh OS. Droplet rebuilds, restore your cloud server to its original configuration parameters for the specified image. Rebuilds are restricted to base images and snapshots in the same OS family. For example, if you spun up your droplet originally with Ubuntu 22.04 (LTS) x64, you can only rebuild your droplet with an Ubuntu OS. The Ubuntu OS can be an equal version, an older version, or a newer version. The rebuild process will erase all the data stored on your droplet, so make sure you back up anything you want to keep before commencing with the rebuild. The droplet when rebuilt, will keep the same cloud server IP address, which is an excellent perk as you won't need to redirect your traffic to a new server IP address if you're managing a website for example.
