Is there way to recover my drive from the ESD-ISO? I accidentally did it to my external and not my usb. Soooo much data lost.

I reserved copy of Win 10 why back when it 1st appeared. It is still saying it will notify me when it is downloaded. How long should this take? I've read the best way to upgrade is to wait for Microsoft to send as it will have all my device specific drivers. But how long should this take?

This is very misleading. ISO is an image of a CD or DVD, but you're using the term as if ISO mean "installation files". When I click inside the ISO on setup.exe, i get an error saying autorun.dll cannot be found or something along those lines. Also, would I be able to select what drive i want this installation to go to or would it overwrite my current version? I want dual boot so the goal is to install my windows 10 from the ISO onto another SSD I have

Thumbs down. That's not a clean install. You already assume windows is on the hard drive. Change the title of the video it's misleading.

for what it is worth, if you do not have Windows on local drives, you will get an error message telling you to "insert a bootable file or disk and press enter when it is ready." At that point, it will boot OS from disk or flash drive. Pretty much just like Linux.

Bro how do i install if my device ran into problem?? Even i can not get access of windows anymore

I did the recovery option as there was no setup file, there was no install from Blue screen, just options to startup in safe mode etc.

im switching to ssd so instead of cloning my harddrive to ssd can i just switch to ssd then install windows using the usb???

I think I'm missing an important point here. When you create your ISO file, surely, it has to be done from a computer that you KNOW is perfectly healthy. Creating an ISO file from a computer that has serious problems with it, as a kind of back-up of the hard drive, would mean that you are just copying over the problem wouldn't it? So how can it be sure that its a clean copy? Wouldn't resetting the computer to its factory settings do the same job?

The ISO file is downloaded from Microsoft. The MS site has the hash' of the file which should be checked to show the file has not been changed.

Guys I have a 64 bit windows 10(3.5 GB) on my USB flash drive (FAT32 format) !!! Now can I directly use the USB flash drive to boot and install that win on a new PC !!! And install ISO directly via the USB port ?

It is a Win10.ISO (3.5 GB) 64 bit ISO file ,not like this guy showed , it is a single ISO image

You can not run a ISO file on windows 7 in the later part of 2023 because Microsoft UPDATED the Win10 version. Nor does Win7 have a mount option. SUCKS but true.

I finally did it I try my best to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 I spend 1 week to find the solution..... DON'T GIVE UP!! ok I give up almost 10 times

I'm trying to downgrade to Windows 11 to Windows 10 and I have gotten so many error messages this past week I even tried two tutorials on how to clean install Windows 10 and this makes me want to throw my PC at the wall. I kinda want to give up but thank you for the courage.

you didn't show how to create the iso all you showed was how to set it up
