HOW TO REBUILD A SLOPPY STEERING LINKAGE/ FRONT END ON A 2017 F250
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
How to replace the steering linkage on a 2017+ F250/F350. OEM steering linkage wears out fast on these trucks and can result in a sloppy/loose feeling steering wheel.

I needed this channel so long ago. You have the best Powerstroke videos. These are all common and EXPENSIVE repairs for almost any super duty. Very impressive content.
Just did the drag link on my 2017 F-250. The end of the connector at 3:40 comes off much easier with a pitman arm tool. I beat the hell out of that joint with a fork and hammer and it wouldn't budge. The pitman arm separator had it off in a few minutes.
Please add a link for the parts! thanks!!
What brand is this. Looks really nice!
If you’re down here doing all this it’s a great time to grease the front universal joints. And if you don’t have one, when you inevitably replace your track bar ball joint then buy one with a grease fitting. Also, brake grease works well so the drag link doesn’t seize, it’s also anti-vibration.
Quick question, when you replace the drag lin and tie rod ends like you did in the video is the torque of tighening down the bolt on the passenger side and drivers side tie rod ends enough to properly seat the ball joint properly or do yopu need to press then in some with a tool?
Do you have a Ling to the rebuild kit ? Would greatly be appreciated
I’m surprised to see someone replace these entire arms. I have a modded 2011 f250. I’ve had 35’s on it for approx 60k miles, I did the bilstein 5100 at the same time and a little later a drop pitman bracket. I would not have guess that the steel arms themselves would develop enough play. Your truck isn’t that old either
You don’t happen to have the parts list or link for these do you ?
I have a 2017 f250 and mine does the same thing. Do you have a link where you got your from.
Did you buy the whole assembly or did you buy part by part? I need to do this project asap but I can’t find an assembly already built.
No pickle fork needed 1 inch wrench works great too.
Do you have list of where you got the parts?
How long did it last with those aftermarket parts? I heard people replace those parts after 6 months of use when they are aftermarket.
Could we have links to parts list please
Parts list and #s?
Howdy! Thanks for the great infortive video if your 17 super duty. I have a 17 f350 diesel as well and needing to go this route. What brand of the metal parts did you use and where did you order it from? Thank you in advance.
Can we get a parts list
Parts list please
I have a 17 f250 as well and I want to replace mine. Do you have the part number for the drag link and steering stabilizer? I would greatly appreciate it

Did you ever find the part numbers?
how much does labor cost
Where did your parts??
crazy how it went from $400 in parts to $800 after two years. just had to do this job and wasn't able to find parts due to back order, went to ford, paid way too much.
Hey is your truck a wide front end or narrow front end?

My 350 is a narrow. I think the wide is the 450 but i could be wrong. I measured the drag link at 31.5 the wide was 37

Pretty sure narrow is cab and chassis and wide is pickup
I did it without a picklefork just saying.
