    Upon my return to the Lucid Dreaming world, i choose to take thinks slowly but more consistence. I noticed that this time the main focus is not to do do do, but to build solid practices. I will take my time in dream recall and journaling, questioning reality, and without even thinking, in the first yearbto want to have a lucid dream. That, i hope, will remove all the self imposed pressure that is harmfull to dreaming and lucidity itself. Not a goal oriented, but a path oriented mindset. Just my 2 cents that i will leave here. This video reminded me of this mindset...to do things properly. Thank you Daniel. You are an amazing teacher.

    The reality check being a backup matches my experience - the (unfortunately very few) moments I became lucid I almost each time suddenly knew that I was dreaming - a reality check was not needed. So when I do a reality check I often ask myself "Am I dreaming? It seems that I'm not - but to be sure let's do a reality check."

    I try to reality test everytime I realize I'm in autopilot. For example if I'm outside lost in my thoughts about whatever I need to do, I take a moment to contemplate the environment, people, plants, animals, buildings, everything really, I tell myself "right now you're sure you're awake, but that's also what you think when you're dreaming, you must consider the possibility that you're dreaming right now. Are these people real? Is there something off about the environment? What would you do right now if you realized that you're dreaming?". After this I make a reality test (the nose pinch one), if I'm not able to breathe i say "well I'm not dreaming, this time". Thank you so much for sharing this! I learn something new everytime I watch one of your videos, you're literally so cool!

    I gave lucid dreaming a shot with your course material for 10 months. Here are my results: I performed almost all of the recommended training through your videos. My average lucid dream was 1 episode of lucidity every 15 days. Not bad for a beginner huh? Your viewers should know dream control and dream stability are a whole different ball game and require more development. My result is also just a calculated average so that doesn’t mean I was truly getting a lucid dream every 15 days. Some days it came in bursts other days I was getting nothing. I was initially going to give a 12 month run but I gave up due to life circumstances of life. I’m too distracted by the stock markets, which are just way more harder than lucid dreaming. Good luck to all your viewers.

    Honestly didn't expect there to be a video this weekend due to holiday/vacation, but pleasantly surprised! As stated in a previous comment, I had a dream where you had posted a video on this same topic (which, I unfortunately did not do a reality check/NOW in the dream - dream me is a bit stupid at times). Like in the dream, I will comment that same thing - I've been slacking on my checks, but I have been trying to improve! A lot of my checks have been when I've been occupied and microchecks (still doing nose and text checks). I've been occupied and on a time crunch (new job, still trying to understand the ropes of it) so it's been a bit messy. Lately, as I've been a bit more solo on the job, I've been able to take time to do checks - and say my observations out loud. Saying them outloud has been helping me a lot with focus and slowing down. It's also been helping me with observations as well and seeing all my surroundings. I just need to make sure all my checks are either that or close to that quality. Another thing I need to work on - dream journaling. Anyone who has been following this channel for a while and reads comments know that my arch nemesis is dream journaling. Maybe it's just laziness and morning brain but I find it really difficult. It's definitely a necessary evil, especially since I haven't been noticing any dream signs besides anxiety (feeling or being chased or hiding something). Just need to find how to make it fun and/or motivation. Great video as always! Great refresher for those who have been in the topic for a while and a very well needed starting point for beginners!

I could easily see if I was in a dream if I just focused, but that thought never comes to my brain, a couple nights ago I lucid dreamt for the first time and the way I could tell I was in a dream was because my phone wasn’t working 💀

    My new favorite lucidity-check question: "What day is this?" I've never become lucid by performing a lucidity check; I have sometimes become lucid by trying to figure out what I was seeing/what was happening in my dream. Unfortunately (so far, anyways) if I've been aware enough in the first place to actually _check_ whether I'm dreaming, I haven't needed to check if I'm dreaming. :-P

    I have been tying something recently: If I wake up in the early morning spontaneously, I do a thorough check/test, including a nose pinch test, and then as I settle back down and am heading towards going back to sleep, I will imagine doing a nose pinch test, without actually doing it. I then try to watch for the moment when it starts to feel like I am actually pinching my nose. I have felt that starting to happen a few times. I have not yet had a maintained awareness dream this way, but it seems close. A few times I started to really feel like I was doing it, but got a little too interested in that fact and brought myself back to full wakefulness. This seems a bit similar to your IMP and Dreamwalker techniques, in terms of imagining something and watching for it to feel real. After one of these attempts, I did briefly become lucid in a dream in a regained-awareness way, just kind of spontaneously, not due to any thing in particular: After seeing some text on an object, I just immediately began to think I was dreaming (low level?), and had the thought that it would be cool if I could remember what the text said and record it in my journal. So, I looked intently at the text, but found that it was transforming into gibberish. In the dream I thought, "Well, there's your sign, if you needed it! Of course it changed!"

  • @ParanormalDreamCoach94

    @ParanormalDreamCoach94

    Interesting, I find in dreams when I do the nose pinch test it's extremely effective. I think mantras could be more effective if you wake up early and go back to sleep.

    @@ParanormalDreamCoach94 I have almost always had great success with doing a nose-pinch test inside of a dream, to confirm that I am indeed dreaming. I have to be very diligent though, as on rare occasions, my "dream-drunk" brain tries to convince "me" that I must not have pinched hard enough or something, and thus tries to explain why I could still get air when pinching. It requires careful attention to detail to avoid this, sometimes. But yeah, usually it works great!

    I love the video ! I recently watched one of your previous streams and it mentioned micro tests! Do I need to find something dream like for those as well? Or can it just be random? I usually hit around 5-10 full length NOWs a day I'm trying to implement micro tests as well. I don't want to get in the habit of only doing micro tests either.need to activate pre frontal cortex. I'm just trying to add extra tests in hoping they show up in dreamland. Is it a good idea to do micro tests ? Or should i stick to full length NOWs what do you do ? Furthermore I dreamed of cinnamon rolls last night 😂

  • @LucidDreamPortal

    @LucidDreamPortal

    Ай бұрын

    Firstly, thank you for your support, it means a lot! So the best way to approach NOWs and micro tests is to consider them a sliding scale. All should be triggered by dreamlike entanglements, and then when deciding on the quality/length of the test, make it proportionate to the strength of the trigger. Let's say you're caught up in an argument that closely resembles a recent dream, that would require a full NOW, whereas a small coincidence would require a micro test, but there will be plenty that fall between the two extremes, so adjust your test to match the trigger. This adds additional prefrontal activation as you're having to assess the most appropriate response. Hopefully that makes sense!

  • @koulisprogamer3017
    @koulisprogamer3017Ай бұрын

    Ever since i started getting into more of the prefrontal cortex activation mentality, i started finding the mindless way of just doing the little mini test stupid. Correct me if im wrong here (i feel like my mindset may be a little off), but why do you need to mindlessly pinch your nose to figure out wether or not youre dreaming?? Like bro are you reality blind or something? Can it not be figured out wether you are or are not dreaming just by the context and cues of your sittuation upon questioning? But then again some dreams may just be that realistic so yeah having it as backup is good 🥸👍.

For example, when i enter a room in my office, and something triggers a reality check, a longer one, i stop what im doing and question mynplace (why am i here, does this spaceakes sense, do you remember what you were doing before, and so on...) what do you do if, in the middle of this l, someone enters the room and starts speaking to you, interruptong your testnor making it really hard for you to concentrate on it?
