How to re-store the aperture click function In Helios-44M 2/58
If you don't like DE-clicked function in your Helios-44M 2/58, you can always re-store the aperture click function back to normal, and in this video I will in an "easy" way show you how it's possible.

@@mikeno62 hi mike, i am trying to open up a minolta rokkor 24mm f2.8 front optics to clean up fungus build up. a bit stumped now on how to disassemble it fully to get to the inner lens element. can i PM you with some photos of the front optics assembly for your advice? thanks.
Hello, I have a Fujifilm x10 and it has fungi in the front lens, I was wondering if to clean this fungus it is necessary to disassemble or can I clean without disassembling the entire camera? Thank you and congratulations on the channel.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I would like to know what type of lubricant you could recommend. I disassembled a 35mm 1.4 art that was locking the focus, I believe it is due to the lubrication, the motor makes force but the focus ring does not turn.
I have a 400mm F5.6 Tokina Pentax K-Mount Prime lens that can’t focus to infinity. Do you have any video fixing something similar?
Nice Video! I declicked the Helios 44M-4 and did the mod with a little tube to fix the apterture-pin in place for manual apterture. However the aperture seems stuck and most of the times won't close or open up again as it should. I tried opening the back again and lubricate the ring and the little C-shaped "arm" that moves the apterture pin. Any more ideas what could solve the problem? I'd like to avoid opening the whole thing and lubricate the aperture blades or so.
hi sir, i have leica r 35mm f2. i changed r mount to nikon f, but now i return original r mount has problem, aperture only from 2.8 to 16, i can hold it at f2.0. i need your help, thank you.
Great job. Have you tried using a cut out from a beer can? They're everywhere and the metal is very thin. Stiffness can be added to aluminum by folding over the short end of the tool on the end where you hold it.

Hi Mike, I've got a lens: Angénieux 12-120. The first cote has some fungus. Do you know how to take the first element off? I searched about it for a longtime but no information on the net. Thanks a lot.
Sir can you show us how to repair nikkor 35-105 f 3.5-4.5 ais?
Hi Mike, thanks for your great jobs. I have a lenses that it's retaining ring is very tough to be loosened. I have a caliper to work on it but in vain. Is there any loosening fluid can be applied? Any suggestion to tackle this? Thanks in advance.

Hi KK Lee, I use “Nail Polish remover” with Acetone and it works in many cases, but in other cases I use Isopropyl Alcohol 99% ( maybe 70-80% would also work ), they both working good. But you should take really good care when using “Nail Polish remover” on plastic parts because it will soften the plastic and make it deformed, so better try the Isopropyl Alcohol first, add 2-3 drops with a cotton bud, and let it stay 3-4 minutes and then add a few more drops, then wait 5-10 minutes and try with the tool, depending how tight the retaining ring are you have to wait maybe 30 minutes and then add a few more drops, then wait 5-10 minutes and then try again. Hope it will work.

Hi Mike, I'm having a stuck aperture issue with a Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm I got from eBay. I have seen a few videos online and tried to open it up, but having an issue with one screw. Do you know if they used thread lock, and what's the best way to loosen it up? Thanks.

I very often use a few drops of “Nail Polish remover” on a Cotton bud and dipped on the screw head ( or if it’s a retaining ring ), let it stay a few minutes and add a few drops more, depending how tight the screw sit. IF the screw or retaining ring sits in plastic parts, you should take really good care…, because the Acetone will soften the plastic parts or deformed the parts. Another solution is to use Isopropyl Alcohol 99% on a Cotton bud that also works really good, but will not damage plastic parts. I hope it will work for you.
Hey Mike have you ever opened an EF 135mm f2L from Canon?

Maybe you get one from another spare lens or a ball point pen
