How to DE-click Helios-44M 2/58
In this video I will show how "easy" it is to actually DE-click the old Helios-44M 2/58.
Take good care for the 2 small steele balls and the 2 tiny springs and keep them in a small plastic bag, if you want to re-store the lens back to normal click function again.
I use a 2.5mm flat head screw driver and a pointy tweezer, and a small amount of "LIQUI MOLY" LM50 Litho TH grease

thank you finally someone who speaks English
I was able to de-click a MC Helios-44K-4 58mm 1:2 in PK mount after watching your video. It was completely different inside, but much simpler to remove a single steel ball (no spring). I added new grease to the aperture ring and put the lens back together. Thank you for the video!
Very useful resource. Thank you very much!
Nice one as always 🙏👏👏👏
Excellent tutorial, love the pointy arrows, I have the Helios 44m 2/58 also the 28mm and 35mm on it's way, is it the same process for all? Cheers Vinnie.

Thank's Vinnie, I have only working with some of the different Helios 44M 2/58, Maybe the differenceness are not that big for the 28mm or 35mm. Cheers Kenneth
Hi Mikeno, I wanted to know if you could have a solution to my problem. I purchased a Helios 44-2 Valdai version, but in silver colour. having a canon 5d first version I wanted to adapt the lens using the m42/eos adapter. unfortunately I read that some helios on this camera extend too much when focusing on infinity and the mirror risks touching and breaking. how could I solve it? Thank you
A very nice turorial. Looking at your blades they seem to be flipped? Normally you see the overlapping blade extremities at the back of the lens and not the front?
Helou. What that a/m switch do i have same lens and i figures what it that

There are variations of the helios 58
Is this for ALL the Helios', including 44-2?

The helios 44-2 is already clickless
