70% of women initiate divorces and 3/4 of those divorces are for financial purposes. Seems like every time there's masculine energy in an organization, women seek to destroy it: American corporate culture, academia, politics, Church leadership, and even fraternal organizations such as the Boy Scouts are feminized. So, ladies, do you want real men or weak men to control? Real men are out there, but we're not going to step up and get our lives ruined; we're tired of the abuse.

Is it too late for parents of teenagers who did not realize their responsibility in habituating their kids towards the good? The older the children get, the more important it is that a parent begins switching their role from being the authority that tells them what to do to being the source of counsel, why should he do what you're recommending he do? Explain the moral virtues in view of the wounds of original sin from which we all suffer, in view of salvation, and of their happiness. Fear - the emotion that arises as the result of the perception of a future evil that you're not going to be able to overcome. Shame - the fear of being perceived as lowly. Men growing in manliness: start doing the difficult things you've been avoiding or putting off, self-sacrifice, interior discipline, if office job start weightlifting or running or some type of exercise. Signs of the times - men wearing jewelry not out of some excellence, but out of being the pretty princess (center of attention, vice of singularity, effeminacy, sin of respect of others). Care more about the external appearance than about being. Unevenly yoked suggestions - give them Fr's conferences to listen to. Part of being a man is self-sufficiency - the problem with being tied to technology (dopamine leash), etc. Confession of mortal sins: lowest species, number, and context that may affect gravity. Anger/wrath - perception of injury (sensitivity) or woundedness Sensitivity isn't bad so long as it's ordered to virtue. Teenagers need to learn moderation with respect to drinking and right recreation at home. Fraternity of St. Peter - no more eating in between meals and no more video games. Punishment - order of justice with regards to God and with regards to the natural order. Penance and punishment. Discipline should NEVER be aimed at demeaning the person, its aim should be to inculcate the right order in the individual. If possible, punishment should be tied to the virtue opposite the vice they committed. Biretta - symbol of the authority to teach, sign of scholarship. Control of wife vs. right authority - the principle of subsidiarity - authority left at the lowest level necessary, not micromanaging every action. Typically, a sign of disordered interior life (in both men and women) manifests itself in trying to get control exteriorly over others. Rightly ordered authority people accept and may even like to submit to whereas the controlling manipulator usually begets rebellion or is hated by those under. Self-sufficiency - family is the basic unit of society and it is meant to fill for what we cannot accomplish on our own. A woman cannot be a wife and a mother to her children and at the same time be the provider for the family. It simply does not work. There's only so much that any given human being can do in 24 hours. Thus, one job will usually be done to the detriment of the other. It is the same with a man, he cannot both work a job and successfully maintain the upkeep of the home and of his children's education on his own. One task will always suffer at the expense of the other. Hence, why the complementarity between man and woman in the family unit is essential and the necessary foundation rock for civil society. There's always some degree of dependency. And it ought to be properly ordered. Handling family issues of abuse and addiction? Three layers - abuse causes damage/wounds. A. Abuse has to stop for healing to begin. B. Healing process spiritually and psychologically and C. Spiritual life needs to be set in order. Male coworker shirking responsibility. Do not affirm him in his effeminacy. Counsel if possible, and let him hang by his own work in front of the boss if he refuses to pick up his responsibilities.

I have a really fast metabolism and I'm really active so I need to eat a lot but instead I could cut back on sweet junk and eat enough but eat healthier. Remember we're all different. Just because someone is bigger doesn't mean they aren't healthy disciplined. I'm thin and eat a lot but I could stand to eat better and be less slothful.

I physically matured late but matured emotionally early. my mom said it wasn't realistic to get married young in the name of the almighty dollar saying it was too expensive lead to poverty. Because that's more important then avoiding sin that's why there's so much fornication today.

There's so much fornication today because there's so little self-control. People don't even know what the virtues are, let alone exercise any. And Hollywood's been calling good evil & evil good for so long that people think those behaviors our ancestors recognized as virtue are bad now

so many people are spiritual messes because of our culture.

Does the content we are using the technology for change the nature of the use? For example, I spend hours on both my phone and iPad reading the Bible, and watching Fr. Rippenger, Bishop Barron, and other faith based, and non faith based educational videos. Am I not practicing temperance by diving headfirst into these subjects. My thirst for the Truth, and continuing to learn about my faith and the mysteries of God is unquenchable, however hearing Father Chad talk about curiosity being a sin and the gratification that comes with discovery and understanding, I’m now unsure if I’m learning the right way. Anyone have thoughts on the matter?

I think curiosity comes down to "eating what you can and can't chew" For example in my case, I've reverted back to the faith thanks to the many material I came across over the years in regards to our faith, however, I must also moderate myself especially during these days because of the tension that currently exists in the church *I hope you know what I mean*. I have to ask myself, is this helping me grow more as a person of Christ or am I just indulging myself in pleasure by hearing all these things. Because there's pleasure in feeding our intellect but we have to examine ourselves whether its helping us or it feeds into our tendencies for pride.

When some women age, we tend to cut our hair. It isn’t self hatred, it is more that we don’t feel the need to now be overly concerned with appearance. We become comfortable enough not to have to worry about it, and we are no longer (many of us) in attracting the opposite sex. As a celibate woman, I am also a proud owner of a medium length head of gray hair. That is MY crown. If that’s unappealing to others, tough darts! I really think Fr Ripperger should have have made this distinction, or at least pointed it out. Also, some women cut their hair out of mortification and not self hatred....but I get what he’s saying....the shaved heads and severe cuts to appear masculine. I suppose it’s in the eye of the beholder, really.

Maria R how I took what he was saying is that there are women who cut their hair to look like men, butch type haircuts. Of course there are short feminine styles that are suited for women. I recall when my husband’s niece cut her hair like a man’s. I asked him, she kind of looks like she’s a lesbian, do you think...? Her appearance changed so drastically from a feminine shorter style to a man’s haircut. She also changed how she dressed. Well sure enough the next time we saw her she had brought her woman partner to a family function. I have long hair myself and I’m a stylist. There’s many women that I cut short, feminine styles for. My best guess, not enough time for Father to further clarify his thought.

I'm old and have waist-length hair I keep in a braid. I always wear dresses. I get so much more respect from both men and women than when I had short hair and wore pants. It's my way of embracing my femininity and giving thanks to God for making me a female. I never understood old ladies cutting their hair short like they were obliged to and always felt sorry for their husband's.

I lay around all day. God save me! Me and my friend did a Marian devotion starting Mother’s Day which brought such great grace. I fall into this category. I love my life, and I don’t have a religious vocation. There is, however, a vocation for the eremitic life, either recognised by the church (canon 603), or simply lived out with one’s usual daily duties and obligations. One doesn’t have to be recognised by canon law to actually live out a life, entirely, in celibacy, and with the proper attitude and motivation towards rules which those with vocations would ordinarily obey . For myself, it is Elijah, the Essenes..which means Carmelite. I am of Jewish, Druze and Gentile extraction, but raised Catholic. It makes entire sense that I would be drawn to Mt Carmel. A person may have a certain draw to a particular order, so find the rule for lay people...if there is one..and live it! Otherwise, just live according to their rule, in general.

Barbara Rickman I don't have a daughter, but I wouldn't require her to move out at 18 if I did. I ask because I moved out at age 18. It was simply "expected" of both male and female. Having grown up rather quickly in a challenging environment, I knew the results of a sinful life---friends and family being destroyed---thus I quite deliberately stayed away from the trash.

I’m not sure, but this is my take and what a I’ve found.... No, they should not be forced out of the house. In fact there’s a catholic book still sold today but written in the early 1900’s that states young women should stay at home with their parents- because of all the supreme dangers to her womanhood that exist for those seeking the lure of independence and a wage. It’s crazy that this is not taught today but rather the church seems to preach the opposite: Send her to college. Let her earn a degree! She should have a job too! And of course the academia portion of this is not bad, and it’s truly a great asset for the woman to be skilled as such...but as we have already witnessed, this does nothing for the family unit, and nothing for the domestic growth of a young woman. What occurs is the woman has to learn and balance tasks of motherhood sort of on the side, like some crash course AFTER marriage. There is no preparation, or time spent preparing for what should be her main role in life. Her attentions are divided. Of course women can do this, but they can’t do it well. Or if they can somehow manage to do it well it comes at the cost of some sort of physical or emotional or spiritual expense. (And the kids and husband suffer as well). What I see occurring when young women leave home, get jobs, live on their own supporting themselves is this: They learn to live for themselves and not helping the members of their household, which they would be doing if they stay home until they are married. The transition is easier that way, rather than having 10 years of pleasing one’s self, self-governing without a head...and then suddenly thrust into a situation where she is no longer just listening to her own whims but has to now submit. Having a job, serving the public does not count as an exercise for domestic relations. Staying at home with the parents continues her God given role to supply those of her household as the role mandates. It’s not the same push as needed with a young male, but a young woman should not be slacking off while living there, but be as active and helpful to those of the household as if she were married. Yeah, I know that’s really unpopular opinion, but I would stake my life on it as the truth, because of what a I’ve witnessed and observed throughout my years. A lot of what I read from Catholic publications before Vat 2 state as such as well, so it’s not just my opinion. I am female, despite my screename, which is my surname. The way things are done today abuse, tarnish and neglect the gift that is woman. (As so are the gifts men bring too- which are wasted.)

So if molestation and abuse open the door to possession in the family spirit for generations than what about Baptism? Is that not a form of exorcism? Wouldn't subsequent generations be healed through Baptism?

Wow, I don't even know where to begin. So because Father wants you to be in the world and not of the world, because Father wants you to set aside worldly pleasures and concentrate on virtues that will actually be of some benefit to you and your family and friends, he's a Pharisee. It sounds like to me, that you needed to hear this and should probably get away from the video games and honestly, I can say that because I fell into the very same trap. Video games are highly addictive, they cause your brain to release chemicals that actually do the same things as opiates. So basically, making you a heroine addict. They are addictive because they stimulate the pleasure center of the brain. So basically making you a pleasure addict, that's a hedonist. Is Hedonism a virtue or a vice? I am quite aware that video games have those properties so I try to control my time on them. Obviously , there is a difference between gaming and heroin use However, he admits he enjoys beer and TV. TV is, without a doubt, much more detrimental to your brain than gaming (except if it's educational). Video games help you cultivate strategy, critical thinking, etc. This "priest" denies the salvation dogma anyway, and he regards Francis, a man who praises paganism Judaism etc. as a real pope. He has his priorities messed up.

You "Anton Lover of Truth" are the best example. Because, priests should (as Fr. Ripperberger does) sees how worldly things are inflicting many Christians. You dont seem to understand this. Which is the reason why you are (probably) more concerned about what a priest should think, than how you should act.
