In this video Jeremy demonstrates how to quickly deal with leftover ratchet strap! Wether you are tying a jeep down or just securing a kayak on the top of your car with a small ratchet strap, leftover strap can be dangerous and hazardous as it will break the strap and sometimes dislodge your load if it gets pulled under the tire. DrHavok1 I would like to teach my future kids how to drive when they're young. She says that they're not allowed to ride in the Jeep, but I'll be able to change her mind 😎

Time to quit bring Soy Boys ! There is nothing wrong with a little Guided instruction on the "Safe" operation of equipment and vehicles ! Both my son and daughter were operating Tractors and bail wagons when they were 11 ! Safety first and not Showing OFF is but One key thing to instill !
The smile oh her face made my day. I’ll be glad when my daughter is responsible and old enough to play with our XJ

The strap tip was good BUT letting your kid drive the scorpion was AWSOME..
Best bonus footage ever can't wait to teach my daughter that one
That's one proud and happy girl at 1:51! Good job dad. Nice tip also!
@ 1:33 Damn; somebody cutting onions again? I'm going to need a minute; that was beautiful.
Great tip Jeremy! I'll try it next time I strap down stuff on my trailer. Remember Red Green said "if the ladies don't find you handsome they might find you handy." That's the motto I live by.
That's an awesome trick. It may have saved one of my straps from going under a tyre if I'd known. It was cool seeing your daughter behind the wheel. My dad used to let me drive around on private property when I was about her age.
funny, I've never thought to do that! my strap ends are usually Cris-crossing all over my trailer looking like a mess haha. thanks bleenpin Jeep!
Father-daughter CRAWL OFF!! Bet she would win!!
This is a serious hillbilly magic trick, I never expected to find Merlin on KZread. This is pure brilliance, my kayak straps thank you wizard.
Neat tip on the strap. She's a very confident driver! My dad use to let us drive too, i think that's cool of you to let her do that. My wife won't even touch a curb.
This hold down strap tip here almost makes me want to support you on Patreon. When I reach my sub goal I will. I used this trick to secure the excess strap on my 450 mile jaunt to haul my four wheelers to the Black Hills this past week. It never came loose and surprisingly never flopped around much in the wind. Yep, Jeremy comes in pretty handy once and awhile, eh?
Jeremy can you do that with the "ship wreck" straps? lol, totally love the last bit too!.....GREAT stuff boy's keep it coming please
How could anybody dislike this???

Nice.
Matt's daughter just out wheeled him by not flipping over and catching fire. 😁
I like to double back the loose end and wrap it around the ratchet so tbat holds the extra

Just saw it on jalopnik.com. Looks like it may be going viral.
The video was pretty cool! Especially that off-road rig! Was that a pieced together project or was it a jeep or something? Where's that builds video! At least your kid put that brakes on mine decided to not use the brakes and killed my BBQ grill and a bunch of other stuff! Smh! 😂😂😂
Camera man is a ball buster, ain’t he?
I learned to drive in a 53 Willys then got my driver license 4 years latter. "great dad"
What brand strap do you recommend for 2” wide?
Nice Tip Jeremy! Hahah yeah Ill admit Ive had one wrap around the axle before, woops
Big smile !

Love you daughter driving!
Damn I've been using zipties for my excess strap for years. This is legit.
What straps are those. Are those the super straps?
I wish I had seen this earlier. I have straps that I have cut down to fit the trailer. Now I don't have the trailer. Now I have to get new straps. Oh well.

I cut mine down too, but still have to roll them up or tie them off to one of the side rails.

Do that with AMERIACA!... lmao
Forever going to call it making tootsie rolls XD hahahaha
The easiest way I’ve ever seen.
That young lady is bad ass. #neverrelyonaman
Yea, a trucker donut.
Leftover ratchet straps?? I'll just wrap it around an engine and the other end around a tree, then have the vehicle drive itself down hill. 😛
@Robert-bm3pb
6 жыл бұрын
I'll have to try that one out. Usually I will take the slack strap under the vehicle and tie it to the driveshaft. Once you accelerate the driveshaft will naturally wind up the strap leaving no slack. This insures a damage free drive home.
How DOES a tootsie roll get rolled.. tell me. 🤣🤣

Saya 1 I still like ded but roadkill has gone downhill. Luckily there’s a glitch in my Apple TV and it lets me watch motor trend for free.
Teach her how to "two foot" drive!
Another way to do that is to take the extra and fold it up till it's almost to the binder then shove the excess inside the loop between the binder and the end hook. That's one of the methods flatbed truckers use. No chance of it coming loose and no knots to undo.
That’s a good tip but that’s only half done. Use the same technique to tie your excess strap roll tight to the strap.
no way will she grow up to be a man hating feminist what a great father you are
wrong. loosen the ratchet and insert folded strap into the 2 straps on ratchet side then tighten. Pro
Build another ZJ lol
