How To Quickly Deal with Leftover Ratchet Strap!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video Jeremy demonstrates how to quickly deal with leftover ratchet strap! Wether you are tying a jeep down or just securing a kayak on the top of your car with a small ratchet strap, leftover strap can be dangerous and hazardous as it will break the strap and sometimes dislodge your load if it gets pulled under the tire. If you take a few minutes to learn this simple very helpful ratchet strap trick you wont ever have to worry about that again!

This hold down strap tip here almost makes me want to support you on Patreon. When I reach my sub goal I will. I used this trick to secure the excess strap on my 450 mile jaunt to haul my four wheelers to the Black Hills this past week. It never came loose and surprisingly never flopped around much in the wind. Yep, Jeremy comes in pretty handy once and awhile, eh?

Leftover ratchet straps?? I'll just wrap it around an engine and the other end around a tree, then have the vehicle drive itself down hill. 😛

  • @Robert-bm3pb

I'll have to try that one out. Usually I will take the slack strap under the vehicle and tie it to the driveshaft. Once you accelerate the driveshaft will naturally wind up the strap leaving no slack. This insures a damage free drive home.

Another way to do that is to take the extra and fold it up till it's almost to the binder then shove the excess inside the loop between the binder and the end hook. That's one of the methods flatbed truckers use. No chance of it coming loose and no knots to undo.
