Today I’m going to cover something natural you can try to help put your autoimmune disease in remission.
Recent research has found a huge link between EBV (Epstein-Barr virus) and many autoimmune disorders. 90% of the population has had EBV.
EBV has the ability to infect certain immune cells, reprogram them, and alter their function. EBV makes a protein that can bind and control your genes, triggering an autoimmune disorder if the right environment occurs.
The environment is related to your epigenetics. Whether or not a person will develop an autoimmune disease will depend on how strong the person’s immune system is and how great their external stress is.
Top triggers of autoimmune diseases:
• Gut radiation
• EBV
• Stress
• Low vitamin D
• Low zinc
• Dysbiosis
• Drugs
• GMO foods
• Stress of pregnancy
A natural plan for autoimmune diseases:
1. Put EBV in remission:
• Lower your stress
• Increase your vitamin B1
• Increase your potassium and magnesium
• Increase your vitamin D
• Increase your zinc
• Do aerobic exercise
2. Handle dysbiosis by taking probiotics (start with small amounts) and consuming fermented vegetables
3. Do a 48-hour fast every two weeks
4. Lower your inflammation:
• Do fasting
• Take vitamin D
• Get plenty of omega-3 fatty acids
• Do the keto diet
5. Take PMG by Standard Process Inc.

I have had multiple sclerosis since 2011 when I was a complete vegetable for lack of a better word and could not talk, walk, see, feed myself bath myself anything. I had over 60 legions in all of the terrible places to get them. After a long stay in the hospital, then as an in and then out patient at Stan Cassidy rehab Center and yearrrrrrs of being consistent with my plant based nutrition, physical activity, booting ANYTHING that stresses me out in life, power of belief and just trying to maintain a healthy overall, I can say I’ve been in remission for years! I can’t stress enough not to wait until you regret neglecting your health to take care of it. The blessing here is that I was 100% abusing my body when MS happened and if it didn’t, I’d probably be dead today. It was so hard but it’s really made me a way better person. Anyways, take care of yourself.

My poor mom is almost 92. She has suffered for 21 years with RA. It started with a bang. Woke up one morning just red and swollen all over. It happened right after my sister died of a horrendous type of cancer. It was a terrible time for the whole family but of course for a mother to lose a child… I know now the stress is what did it. Both myself and my other 2 sisters developed autoimmune diseases within 3 years of losing our sister. We had all been extremely healthy our whole lives. Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles living til late 80s and 90s. We never worried about health at all. Stress is really a factor and will do you in! Thanking God Almighty for Dr. Berg. Standard Process’s “Cardio Plus” gave my mother an extra 10 years of life on this planet. She had cardiomyopathy (deteriorating heart muscle). Before Cardio Plus? Her LVEF (left ventricle ejection fraction) was down to 25%. Normal is around 50. After several months on the nutritional? Mom’s LVEF was normal. Her cardiologist was shocked…and disbelieved that nutrition had anything to do with this. However? My mother lived another ten years (to age 90). My son caught Mono (EBV) at age 11, not from kissing anyone but being in the same room (like a gym) with an adult that was symptomatic. There were at least 15 others in the same gym at the time, he was the only one that came down with it, and I believe that having had his appendix removed a year earlier was the difference. I didn't catch it, neither his younger sister, even though we were exposed to both that adult in the gym,and my son who suffered for more that three weeks before recovery. I always made a point and explained to my children why we never share eating utensils, water bottles, etc. so we could avoid this virus ,in the end the pediatrician told me that my son caught it like one catches a cold/flu.😔 What is even more frustrating is that doctors ( especially ER doctors) are not knowledgeable, and properly trained to diagnose symptoms related to mono.

She also meditated and prayed daily. She did Pilates and yoga. She walked every morning and usually every evening and some times a week did a long daily walk. She spent no less than three to six hours everyday on these activities, often more. It was a full-time job however she her RA went into remission. Her food was normal for her generation. Our food is much much much worse now so we need to take special care with food as well to get to the normal of the previous generation.

I'm so glad Dr. Berg is sharing the link between STRESS and EBV! 👏👏 I had a problem w/ EBV reactivation 7 years ago and got stuck in this cycle of "needing" antiviral herbs frequently to control it. Then I realized that the root cause was stress! I shifted my focus to taking adaptogens and nervines (herbs that help you cope with stress), took up a hobby (painting), and got some stuff off my plate and I haven't had a reactivation since!

My wife developed both RA and Hashimotos (spelling) disease shortly after taking a Typhoid Fever vaccine. We were going on a trip to Peru early 2020 and it was a recommended vaccine. I was perfectly fine. Her blood inflammation factor has been getting worse every 6 months taking a prescription med (I don't know the name). I came across Quercitin information so I bought some for her to try. She was only on it for about 2 months by her next blood test and her inflammation factor dropped massively into the remission range. Adding Quercitin is the only thing she changed. She's now upping the Quercitin and lowering the prescription med on her own. We'll see how her next blood work looks.

Finally, a friend sent me to a GREAT Functional Medicine Physician (FMP.) And together we have me in remission - or as my FMF says" stabilized." I did everything; changed my diet and lifestyle, improved my sleep hygiene, started thyroid hormones, healed my Leaky Gut, started taking the supplements my blood labs said I need, used high doses of Vitamin C and used Medical Grade Ozone, And yes, I was told I had EB when in High school. The mold exposure in 2008-2013 brought my Autoimmune Hashimoto's back with a VENGENCE. Luckily I know what to do and I put my Hashi back into the mission again.

I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease and the consultant was sure I had lupus about 15 years ago are used to go for checks every three months but after 2 years I checked myself out because I didn’t feel like it was doing anything and I kept feeling I was wasting my time. I also had terrible stomach issues which I was also getting checks for and I didn’t really connect the two at the time. I was probably pretty stressed as well as I had just moved to London, I also had terrible relationship patterns I couldn’t regulate emotions at all and every breakup would devastate me like a divorce even if it was only a few dates. I remember getting some absolutely awful advice from a doctor about eating white bread and cutting down on fibre which made me really start to think these people know nothing. I had not eaten bread for a long long time already and was into health. After this I decided to take it into my own hands there were times When I would be absolutely fine one day and then in bed for two days my whole body is to feel weak like I had the flu. I went raw vegan, Took probiotics and did a parasite cleanse and I have to say what must be about 15 years later I’m definitely way better than I was I’m not saying I don’t still get a little bit tired sometimes and I’m going to watch this video to see if there’s anything additional I can be doing. Full spectrum amino acids also seem to have helped me. But I’ve never had to take any medication and I’ve had a pretty normal life and I put it down to diet and lifestyle changes. I also became very spiritual meditated did yoga a lot, worked so much on my mental health etc and I a, sure that contributed to helping. I’ve never had to take steroids just one injection at the beginning then I checked myself out and self treated. I always intuitively knew not to go that route.

The only thing I’ve not really been able to manage is fasting I keep trying. I guess I eat carbohydrates because I eat fruits and vegetables but I don’t eat any grains or wheat rly cetera for about 15 years because I’ve always known they make things worse you can kind of feel it the same with too many things from the nightshade family. I’ve not eaten processed cane sugar for about 20 years either

I just want to thank you Dr Berg and say for the viewers to heed this advice, it really works! I started the "KETO" diet in late January, 2022. 6 weeks in and no noticeable change, I was becoming discouraged and then one of your videos suggested that you sometimes have to get a life more aggressive than a 12-16 hour fast to initiate Ketosis for some metabolisms and perhaps an initial 24+ hour fast might be needed to kick start the process. About mid-March I initiated a little more than 34 hours. Remarkably if you time going to sleep where the hunger pangs come and go while in REM, you wakeup with a relatively easy stretch to your target end of fast. Those "hunger" cravings oddly disappeared around the 18-20 hour mark! Anyway I kicked into Ketosis and I normally go 16-18 hours before ending my fast and I now have about a 1/3 the former appetite, if that and I seldom eat more than a 2nd meal and never eat anything after 6 hours of my initial breaking the fast. In less than 6mos I lost 52 pounds! The added and quite unexpected benefit is I have a much healthier immune system confirmed by my personal physician! Thank you Dr Berg!

Very good advice. Keto, fasting, walking, and vitamin D are very helpful for reducing inflammation, in my own experience. It’s good to get out in the sun for an hour a day, but in the winter time we need the vitamin D capsules or pills because we don’t get much direct sun in New England, since the days are shorter. If I go off keto and start eating carbs again, the inflammation comes back. That proves to me that carbs contribute to inflammation. Stress is a major factor. Deep breathing, prayer, and meditation are helpful to reduce stress. I put my faith in God and ask Him to handle it. And I avoid hatred and resentment and think of ways I can help my family and my fellow man. That helps protect the mind from negativity. Thank you, Dr. Berg. Been following you for years. You helped me lose a lot of excess weight, improve my vision, get rid of arthritis pain, and have a happier outlook and less stress through keto. And by the way, a certain thing that everybody is getting these days contributes to the reactivation of viruses. It has been proven in peer- reviewed studies. It’s something we can’t talk about, especially doctors. I know because I’m a nurse. And I had mono too, when I was in college.

Studies on GMOs have suggested that they can also make diseases and viruses resistant to antibiotics and our own immune system. They are genetically modifying our food to be more resistant to things that would attack them, such as disease and pestilence. We eat the food, and bacteria and viruses in us take on those properties by way of horizontal gene transfer, and become more resistant to things that attack them, such as antibiotics and our own immune system. This can lead to more cancers, autoimmune diseases and they fear a super bug that can be resistant to our most powerful antibiotics.

I have MS, was diagnosed last year. According to first neurologist my prognosis was not good because I am a male close to the 40's when most patients with MS are women from 23 to 40. I went to see Dr Cicero Coimbra, PhD neurologist who created the Coimbra Protocol. I have no epstein bar virus, however Dr Coimbra showed me that the two years I spent in the UK doing my MBA contributed to my disease. First the low vitamin D in my blood due to the lack of sun in the UK but most of all the stress to find a job, pay the debts of my MBA , etc. Never was so stressed like this before and that was when I felt the first MS symptoms. Long story short, after starting the Coimbra Protocol and regulating the vitamin D levels on my blood ( I take high doses of vitamin D which were calculated by Dr Coimbra for my specific case), follow a diet to avoid high calcium concentration and I try to manage my stress, I am on remission of my MS. I have the MRIs to prove. Incredible! My life is totally normal! I am just amazed how low levels of vitamin D and stress can be so harmful to our body but how simple the solution is.

@@hillsofwi High vitamin D levels increases the calcium absorption which can risk your kidneys. This is one the functions of vitamin D. However, the calcium risk is easily overcame following a diet and regular exams, remembering that this risk is just for those who follows the Coimbra protocol ( i take 65K UI a day) and not for those who takes the physiologic doses of vitamin D a day, around 10K UI. In any case, regulating your vitamin D level will help to avoid any auto immune disease, cancer and many other complications.

Dr., thank you for this info. Many of your suggestions I am following already, but this has given me much to think about. Until 2013, my labs were normal. Then after a TdaP shot in 2013, things started going sideways, the beginning of immune system berserk. Had them test for CMV, which showed positive but inactive. 6th cranial nerve stroke 2/19, Dx of Polycythemia vera w/JAK 2 mutation 10/19, Lupus & RA Dx 10/21. Taking the Rx but also developed supplement and eating plan. Except for a couple of inflammatory markers the labs look good. My Western trained providers have quit bothering me about what I'm doing. I see I need to take steps further as it's holding it in check but hasn't reversed it.

Excellent. Most autoimmune patients have low D 25hydroxy. Supplement with D3. In severe autoimmune the Coimbra Protocol with high dose D3 (100,000 to 700000iu D 3 daily) monitored by a doctor can be very helpful. Besides D3 other vitamins/nutrients are helpful. 40,000iu D3 is one mg. Hashimotos: lugols iodine, selenium, B vitamins. Fibromyalgia: lugols iodine helpful in relieving muscle pain in 8/10 women. Most people are not optimized in D or iodine. Since people are afraid of the sun and use sunscreen this lowers your immune system. The iodine level in food is almost nonexistant since farm raised fish has none and is was taken out of bread.

In almost 1 week of fasting my joint paints and extreme fatigue went away and no flare up for almost 6 months. Before doing IF I was very concience about what I was eating. No processed food, cutting of sugar and limit amout of carb but doing all these things I still get flare ups once in a while but doing these things in combination with IF was really a game change. I hope you feel better soon.

My mom came down with Hashimoto's in her 40s. I came down with Hashimoto's thyroid in my 40s!! Since allopathic medicine wasn't cutting it, I researched it on a holistic level. I found out an allergy to wheat was triggering it. After going wheat free, in two weeks all symptoms went into remission. In 6 weeks, I had lost a total of 7 lbs with doing nothing. Sometimes autoimmune is related to a food allergy.

Those of us that are in tune with our bodies know this. I had a severe sore throat, stiffness around my neck that lasted 1-2 weeks. That month I started getting really bad joint pains. And the next month I was diagnosed with RA. Doctors don’t listen when you mention that that 2 week episode was what may have led to RA. I am conscious about everything I do with my body. My RA didn’t come out of no where.

I was diagnosed a few years ago with IGA Nephropathy. Peeing cola, high blood pressure (I have even reached 240 as my top number while doing a stress test for a cardiologist), fatigue, confusion, wonky digestion etc. Besides those issues that sprung up a few years back when I was 22 I thought of myself as super healthy(27 now). I wrestle and train Jiu Jitsu often, decent skateboarder, and also I have ran a marathon. Sometimes these symptoms spike really bad to the point that I struggle with performing at my job (plumbing) do to massive bouts of fatigue and breathlessness and confusion. I see many people talking about auto immune conditions but I don't see much on IGA Nephropathy. Would love to hear about any ideas you have as blood pressure medications and immunosuppressants don't seem like a great answer for me. Thanks! -Ross

I was also diagnosed with IGA at 30 years old. Except, with my specialist and doctor weren't able to tell me how I developed it. Normal on blood work but do have protein and blood in the urine.

I've noticed (anecdotally) that persons around who took the 'intervention' are absolutely besieged by arthritis, in some cases, absolutely out of the blue. That pregnancy thing is interesting. In my third pregnancy my seborrheic dermatitis went into remission, but came back within a few weeks of delivery. My own family are beset with autoimmune in general, usually with onset during childhood eg ... excema, athsma and ankylosing spondylitis.

I’ve had nothing but problems after getting vaccinated unfortunately and I think it’s caused a lot of inflammation and toxicity in my body. These videos help tremendously! I sincerely hope you'll be able to get your health back soon. I thank God you're alive at all after that vaccine. My Aunt got vaccinated & passed away within 3 weeks. She was completely healthy beforehand. It caused many blood clots to occur all at once, & the doctors just could not save her. Good on you for doing your own research & being proactive concerning your healing. Get well soon 💪🏼🤍
