How to PROPERLY Install Wheel Spacers
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video, I show you how to professional mount and install wheel spacers on your car. I am using Bolt-on wheel spacers in this application. For the front, I am installing a 25mm wheel spacer, whereas in the rear, I am installing 38mm wheel spacers. After all is said and done, my OEM wheels will be flush to my fender, I will be able to clear my BBK (to be released), and I will get more even lateral load transfer, resulting me in more traction. Thanks for watching!!

Glad you did the hub centric spacers.
You did a great job on the video. Great suggestion on the anti-seize. It may not be necessary for everyone but it's not bad to suggest one might benefit from it.

Great video! Im about to order some but before i do , do i measure my new off set rims or my original hubs? You should make a video of how to measure spacers
Excellent video Milan! BTW aluminium doesn't corrode the way you think it does. The corrosion is called aluminium oxide which turns to a really hard layer (surface). That hard layer actually protects the aluminium from further corrosion. Not saying the added insurance isn't necessary because I would do the same thing your doing.
Nice video, I like the copper grease idea. I'm going to try that.

You're videos are the best man! i've probably seen all of them in these past like 2 weeks and I've done a lot to my car this week thanks to you! I was wondering if you can possible post a video on how to add the sound deadening to a car and how to take off different panels of a car, how to change lights to some aftermarket ones, more stuff under the hood like changing the headers of your engine. Its all good Ken! Ensure you use your torque wrench twice, once to install the spacer to the hub, then the wheel to the spacer 👍
GarageLine spacers are really good! Also better IMO because they are paint black.
I've been wondering about the re torque and how that works? Do u wind up having to take off ur tire to re torque the spacer and then 100km later re torque your wheel?

I gotta admit, when I selected your video I saw your face and thought "dayum! What's this young kid gonna be able to tell me?" But, I was very pleasantly surprised. You covered it all from A-Z, mentioned some things I hadn't even thought about and didn't spend all your time stuttering and covering extraneous and non-relevant material. Thanks and kudos to you!
Thank you
anti-seize was the only thing you did wrong, it's the equivalent of spreading some mud between your rotor top hat and rim, you don't want there to be anything between the rim and mounting surface its attached to. if your that worried about corrosion simply clean/paint the rotor and hub assembly. Most people should never have to worry about wheels being seized to the hubs, most people change they're tires ever 3-4 years and as long as you actually wash your car your fine.

Be sure to get some wider rims to make sure that you're not adding any uneven pressure on your wheel bearings. Wheel spacers alone will put more force on to one side of the bearing than it's designed for, which leads to them wearing down faster and possibly damaging them over bumps.

what size rotor would I need for a 4 piston caliper? and do the adapters come with the caliper kit?
Hey Milan, i have an 8th gen like yours but mine is hfp so lowered a bit. You think it would rub? Not really concerned about the rear but im scared the front will rub especially while turning. (NOT willing to fender roll or to stretch tires)

Wow that looks so much better, especially with the car lowered. They leave so much space for the wheel for some reason.

excuse my dumb question but is it going to effect the ride in terms of how the suspension works or is that all the same?
@milanmastracci
8 жыл бұрын
Nope. All should stay the same. The springs are going to react the same way, and your car is going to ride pretty close to how it was, the only difference is that because you have a wider track, when you turn, you will get a bit more grip :)
Is it possible to buy bigger hubs, which would have the same results but eliminate the need of a spacer?
Hey I know there have been news around the interwebs about wheel spacers causing more stress to your ball bearings. Is there any truth to this? I'd love to hear your long term review on this man. Thanks

Do I need to do wheel alignment if ever I put 10mm spacer in the rear?
Put 2” spacers I got vibration on high speed any idea what can I do solve the problem?
After 5 hrs of prying, kicking, and swearing to separate the spacer off the hub. I will ALWAYS apply antiseize. I rotated my tires about a yr ago and live in Colorado. It was absolute hell and was unsure it would come off..
Great job! I think you will need a hub ring, your wheel didn’t sit well on the hub
I drive a 08 Accord coupe will the 25mm work for the rear wheels instead of the 38mm cause they’re out of stock
I want to modify my Celica 1990 modifying body I don't have a problem but I love to know how to modify the suspension? Everything about front wheel I really want to know. Tank you

Hi I have a 54.1 oem stock bore size , does the bore size on the spacer go to a 73.1 or 72.1 ?
Hi Milan, i wanna know.. : How did you know the right size of spacer you need ? ( 25mm, 30 mm etc ) Bcause in my case, i just put 4 fender flares on my car.. and now my wheel look way to inside.. i need to make all of these pop about 1/2 inches from the fender..
What if existing wheel studs are longer than the spacer? Won’t they protrude?
Do I need anti seize if I’m only using the spacer for the summer ?
