How to Pronounce 10 Difficult Words in Modern British RP
Remember, you don't NEED an RP British accent to speak English well... There are loads of accents out there! I'm just here to help people who have a love for modern versions of RP.
Let's learn 10 difficult words and how to pronounce them with a modern RP British English accent. Everything I teach in this video is related to the modern British pronunciation we hear in the South of England.

I think I'm in love. The study of phonetics is one of my favorite branches of the English language, together with probably syntax. I was looking for a cool video to teach pronunciation to one of my students and came across this channel. Already subscribed! thanks Eliott
You've chosen some of the most common words that are typically mispronounced. Your explanations are very clear - great job! I love your soft British English and your kind eyes.

Elliott you're absolutely BRILLIANT! Cheers from Rome!
Thanks a lot 😊 You're indeed one of the best teachers ever. Already super excited to next week's video 👌.
the best teacher!!! I've been watching your videos for 3 days and i'm really enjoying it. Your videos are short, very helpful, simple and interesting. The way you explain things is amazing and how you throw an information here and there while you're explaining leaves me fascinated. Thanks a lot for your diligence and generosity. Keep it up!
I just subscribed and I seriously repeated every words you said. You're amazing! Thank you!

Hi Elliott. I’m one of your new follower from Hong Kong. How lucky I can catch your video up here, I really tend to have a British accent it’s sounds beautiful and gorgeous! I’m now starting to watch all of your videos that was fabulous for me! Thank you:) I’m in the beginner stage of learning English, feel sorry if I made mistake of my writing;)
Hi Elliott, thank you for making this video. I'm so grateful to find your channel because I want to improve my pronunciation and start learning British accent.
I love watching your videos. They do improve my English pronunciation, and your ways of teaching are easy to follow and understand. I used to study English Phonetics, but it's quite hard for me LOL. Anyway, could you make a video about other theoretical concepts in English Linguistics like Pragmatics? If possible, it would be great.
I've watched your videos in which you taught us to pronounce v, w and th sounds and this video is really making us to pronounce better than we did . Cheers, mate! xoxo
Gosh, I literally love your lessons! Best teacher ever :)
Thank you, your lessons help me greatly🤗 I like it when you give examples, it helps to understand things better!
You made me clear those confusing pronunciation! Thank you so much. I'll be looking forward to your next videos!
I think you are simply the best teacher on youtube. You're the best! Your explanation is very, very thouroughly done. I would kindly ask you to do a lesson or a video about does vs. is and the negative doesn't vs. isn't. Albert from Tel Aviv
Your pronunciation lessons are wonderful! I love them! ( love^100). Thank you! Maybe you would like to do something about the pronunciation of contractions ( strong forms, weak forms in some sentences)...
Thanks Elliott!!! I enjoy all your videos, it's a pleasure can heard your native pronunciation.
Thank you for your videos. I’ve subscribed to your channel because I’m doing a TEFL course at the moment and I want to work more on my pronunciation. I find your tips ever so helpful. 👍
Hi Elliot and congratulations for the magnificent work you’re doing here. Have you ever thought about creating a podcast channel?
You are an excellent teacher. I enjoy your videos.
YOU ARE THE BEST! Eliott, I do really like your pronunciation and really want to be able to speak your accent. Thank you so much!

Will finish your youtube videos and then straight to your ETJ English course! Expensive but seems like it's worth it. You are clear and easy to understand.
I love your channel can you please make a lesson about the most important grammar that we should use it when we talk and thanks ♥️
Yes, this is really helpful. Thank you Sir Elliott.
Your channel deserve more subscribers, I appreciate your video thanks for everything
I actually love accents. It is so sweet. There are little nuances in each language learning English and it is so sweet. Thanks for teaching and using the mouth and tongue technique. :)
The words "work", "girl" and (ironically) "word" are so hard to pronounce, aghh... Not to mention "-th" sound, when I read the sentence "We've been through thick and thin" I feel that it sounds like I have a lisp... I actually barely use english language in my life (sadly!), never talked to an english native before (like face to face), but I recently discovered your channel and your explanation on how to pronounce words in english accent is very helpful! I really enjoy your videos and I am motivated to practice my pronunciation (although I don't really need it in my life, YET (maybe someday!)) along with your lessons! Keep up the good work, cheers! P.S. I might've used too much brackets, haha, sorry!

Thanks very much for your lovely teaching! The "sixth" is really a hard one! In the future, I think it would be lovely if I could possibly learn how native speakers use "here you go", "there you are", "here we go", "there you go", "here i come" ......... I heard them all the time but it seems no one can really explain to me what they are in a systematic way. Please help!
Excelent, ETJ! I do love your classes! Thank you very much endeed!

You really are a good pronunciation teacher! And I wonder whether you could teach how to pronounce the word 'direct' for it has various kinds of ways round the world.

"work"and"walk"are the "words" that we Japanese find hard to copy, really!! we basically learn 100% American English at school in Japan, and one of the things I think are sad is if someone tries to speak English with British pronunciation, he/she is not a native speaker. I feel comfortable with British pronunciation since it's kind of close to Japanese intonation.

Dear Elliott, I have a question about the word "towards". I've heard people saying both towaaards with the stess on the last syllable and tooowards with the stress on the o. Which one is actually correct and more common in British English? Btw, your lessons are adorable. I spent my whole evening watching them and preparing for CPE skeaking :)
