Matt...the video's instructions for programming the Liftmaster appear to be the OPPOSITE of the instructions on the motor head...or am I missing something? The motor head (as seen in your video and on my motor head as well) says: (1) Press and hold transmitter push button, (2) Press receiver code button, (3) When opener light flashes, release both buttons. But the video says... (1) Locate and press the smart button on the motor head...LED will come on, then (2) Press and hold the button on the transmitter.

Hi there I have a 1998 lift master 1/3hp security + with a chamberlain remote and cannot get it to link up . Watched the video but still can’t get it to work. There is 2 of them for a 2 car garage. Any help would be appreciated.

Typically, LiftMaster has a limit of around 7 devices. You can try to add more devices, but one of the previously programmed devices may drop off. We hope this information helps!

I do also believe it could possible although you need the help of garage door experts to reprogram the transmitter.

car won't respond to remote

didn't work for me, unfortunately. i was able to erase the codes and reprogram the craftsman remote to work, but the liftmaster remote still won't program.

The indicator light on my unit didn’t turn off while holding the button. My button is yellow and round. Manufactured in 91.

I don't know if anyone will answer this but here it goes... We just bought a house and the garage door opener they left behind is an orange learn button LiftMaster motor but a Genie remote. It doesn't currently work. Can different brands be linked to each other?

@@dorothyhafso5673 I didn't get a response however after further research, it seems you cannot mix brands. I found some remotes labeled as universal so I'll see if that works.

Can you program a transmitter solutions 390 to a genie

You will have to check with solutions 390 and give them you Genie model number to determine if it will work.

I have a liftmaster and my remote stopped working although the door does respond to the button in the garage. I tried to reset the remote by pressing the smart button and resetting the remote but the remote continues not to work. Does this mean I need a new remote?

not too clear. My ;problem, with chamberlain unit, is remote openws door, but to close, i have to hold the wall switch, an old thing. what to do to replace this,, with something i do not have to stay and hold switch until door is closedtrhanks rob
