Thank you so much for sharing this information. I bought a 2017 Acadia Denali with only one key fob. I ended up ordering one on Amazon for $40 and even though I talked them into giving me a comp on the programming, I thought it would be great to do it myself and not have to go all the way across town to the dealer and wait. Just for those that have a Acadia it’s a little different . Erasing the keys are the same . The remote location ( remote 1 remote 2) is not in the cup holder , it’s in the center console. Mine was in the back where there is a place to set your remote in. I couldn’t get mine to connect until I moved the remote .

Will the unlock/lock buttons on the door work?

Once you get ready remote 1 : hit the unlock button place the key in the holder and push start Repeat for second remote I got this step mixed up and has to restart the process 2 times If you get stuck and your car won’t start you can start again from the beginning just wait 10 minutes

Will this work if the truck has a key to start the car?? Unsure how to do this. Hubs has a 2017 Silverado

Yes the procedure might be different. But the fob has nothing to do with the key. Try looking up that vehicle manual on line there should be directions on how to do.

Because you canceled everything else and erased your original . So you will have to reprogram your original

I did every step now my truck won’t crank with neither remote 🤦🏾‍♀️help it only locks and unlocks the doors with the original remote

The same thing happens to my GMC Acadia Denali. I've tried opening the door at the beginning, after the 5 times, and at the end of the 10 minutes. No message ever shows up?

So Step 1. Turn the key 5 times counter-clockwise. Step 2. open the door and push the start button Step 3. Wait 10 minutes and then get the message it’s preparing to sync ?Step 4 Close the door wait 10 minutes and then repeat steps 2, 3 and 4? Please clarify your statement at 2:50 that says “Two more times; 3 times total. 10 min between each.”

They want to charge me $125 to program it. Wow

Thank you!!!! I replaced the batteries on BOTH of the fobs. Duh!!! It wiped out all programming in the Tahoe (2017). We were parked in a BLM / Antifa thug area. I tried for an hour FOLLOWING THE DEALER DIRECTIONS *AND* ON-STAR DIRECTIONS before giving up. Your video was the ticket. THANK YOU!
