Wow.. You are exactly right.I am guilty of doing this and I actually notice that deposit at the end; however, I usually take the excess at the free edge and cap it with that. Thanks so much for these tips!! I am new to gel polish and you put me right on track . Especially with started at the apex down first then the cuticle because I always start at the cuticle! I didn't realize we could push & pull cream gels and gel polish! GENIUS!
I know this is 4yrs old but this is exactly what I needed to know! Thank you for sharing! Your instructions are super clear and easy to follow!!
Hey Liz, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for doing the fundamental videos. I am a 45 year old woman whom after watching Susie from NCE decided to go to nail school as I was so inspired by her. I saw you on one of her videos so decided to visit your channel, I am so thankful that I did. Liz, I am so saddened that the course, that I paid for, has not covered half of the fundamentals that you are covering for free. However, I am so grateful that you have done the structured, sequential videos that when you watch in order is like going to school. You are an amazing teacher and an inspiration. I just needed to let you know that If I hadn’t watched your videos I don’t think I would have the confidence to proceed in this career as I wasn’t getting good, consistent results. Thank you so much!

❤ this video *totally* makes my black, white, and light pinks application look SO good. And keeps from getting a "bald" spot when my dark colors don't cure properly and I apply a topcoat. Thanks, Liz.

I’m learning to do my own nails at home. I have streaks as I’m looking at my work I did this morning. This video is helpful. I’m using the vertical technique my next round. All of these years the nail techs in the salon have been doing it wrong as well 😅. Appreciate the video!
Absolutely has helped! Ty for this video😀👏💅
Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I could never figure out why I always get a little “speed-bump” at the tip of my nails, no matter how thinly I apply my gels. Now, I know! Your videos are so helpful, and I truly value your knowledge. You’re a wonderful teacher. Thank you for all you do for us...love, light, and blessings to you and yours.
This was hands down the most helpful video I’ve watched for tips, specially application and common mistakes that I’ve now easily fixed! Thank ya!

Glad it was helpful!
This is a highly educational video!! I became a qualified nail tech nearly two years ago and I could never master why I was getting a lump on the tip of the nail!! So thank you so much for this - my application will now look more professional. Really appreciate all your videos.
Thank you so much for tips n tricks .. n i just love ur nails simple n cute 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
This isn't what I was looking for but man it's good information to know. I have this issue all the time and just thought that's how painting nails goes 🤷♀️ So glad I stumbled upon this.
omgosh i was doing the high angle without realizing and i kept wondering why i would get that collection of gel at the edge of the nail and couldnt figure out WHY it kept happenin!!! thank you so much for this video im def gonna try a more parallel technique!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling with this for a loong time. I asked some people who does nails for a long time and they said it's because i clean the brush with cleaner (because it's a brush cleaner, duuh!!!😒) but no one told me it might be the brushing angle! You're a genius and I love you!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Great tutorial. Thank you!
awesome demonstration, I get it!! 😄🥰 thanks!!
Thank you so much I bought a few pale gel polished and I loved the pinks but they were so streaky I thought it was the polish. Of course it’s my technique lol. Thanks so much!!!
Very useful. Thank you very much. ❤
Thanks for the video !! Please upload more often
so helpful! Thank you
Great tips. Thank you. 💖
Thank goodness you’re back. I missed my weekly dose of Lizucation. Great video by the way. Thanks for posting
THANK YOU!!!
This was a something I needed to know
Beautiful! Thankyou
Thanks Liz! That hump on the end has been my bane of existence!
Wow thanks for this video. I am a total beginner with gel polish and I just want nails with simple colors, but I never understood why my polish is always streaky. I thought it was something wrong with the nail polish brush. I'm gonna try doing it again with your tips.
This helped me so much
This is exactly what I needed. its 2020 now and I've been doing my own nails during quarantine, and wondering why they're coming out so bad despite doing everything right. This was it!!!
I am a streaker for most gel polishes unless they self level on their own, my goodness now to find out it's the way I've been laying the polish that was incorrect. I will be doing your steps today.... I get so annoyed when I have streaks. Thank you so much for this great explanation ❤🎉🤗💐👏 Kudos to you 💝🤗
Thank you so much for this video. I’m a new nail tech that works in a spa. I swear every time a client chooses shellac it’s a light color that I can never get fully opaque. I’m going to use these techniques next time!!!
Can’t wait to try. I hate shadows on pastel colors.
Wow how I wish I watched this before attempting a light pink on my mom’s nails last night ..... this would’ve solved all my problems
Wow! Thank you so much! “Bald Spots” …perfect description and exactly what I was dealing with…but thanks to you….not anymore! 😁😁😁

I'm only at the beginning, I came here to learn how to float polish after reading a comment regarding as such elsewhere wondering what it meant, and boom! I have been wondering why I keep getting heavy spots on the end of my nails. While I am not new to gel, I am not professionally trained and these are not techniques I have seen anywhere else. Thank you! PS. Video suggestion if you have not done one already, "What to look for in a nail tech program/school" as well as what to expect. I have been through cosmetology school, and there was bountiful information when I was deciding , but there really isn't for choosing nail education.
Thank you thank you thank you! I will need to try this next time. Some of my GBI polishes streak, have bald spots and the speed bump... everything you went over in that video actually andas no matter what I tried, never worked. Hoping this will help me xx.
Great! Thank You! 😍❤️🥰
Perfect thanks for sharing 💜💖💜
Thank you for this tutorial 🫶🏼 What is the brush you are using? It looks so nice
Thank you !
This is exactly the issue with my beetles gel set! The pinks do this alot! I was thinking that maybe the brand is overrated. I will post an update on my next attempt

My beetles brand pinks do this too, and the nudes are the worst!! 😭
very good tips! tfs! xx 💜
Thank you so very very much for this amazing informative video! Kindest regards and best wishes God bless Rita G
great advice, thx:)
Thank you for the video, this problem has been driving me mad, didn't realise it was me all along!. I get a dreadful feeling when someone asks me for any of the pale colours I have, as I have had streaking with them and the pooling at the end, despite the fact I have end capped it, in particular a pale blue I have. This didn't crop up when I trained, I suppose you get into naughty habits! I was so inspired by your video I got straight onto my trainer hand and was amazed at the difference, so I tried my only thumb nail and it also worked. Who knew that something so simple can make such a big difference, thank you so much.

Thanks Liz
So helpful
You're back 😍
This is so on time. Thank you for always giving great info.
Very helpful. Tfs
Thank You for the tips. I’ll have to try it for next time when. Also how do we know the difference between a true gel & a hybrid gel?
Your videos are so helpful!! I'm a new sub so sorry if you already have a video on this but I was wondering if you had any tips for gel on nails that grow with a natural vertical ridge/dip right below the apex? I'm only successful with leveling it out like 1/2 the time and I notice sometimes if I don't tell a nail tech they also struggle with application as well. Thanks!
Great video! Where was it 3 weeks ago when I totally messed up my stunning baby pink? Lol. Thank you for your detailed videos, they really do help a lot. What gel did you use in this video? It's a very pretty colour.
just white buttercream is the worst for me!!! light pinks and sheers also, i am gonna try these tips and tricks out thanks liz
thank
I love the tips you have. Can you tell me what brand and where you get those tips.
Thank you so much! I rarely use light colours cuz they're just so frustrating and I have do like like 8 coats 😭
