Super practical and informative. I was a bit hesitant because the video is 8 years old. But turns out the general housekeeping principles in logic are pretty much the same

With the new pad/sampler update to logic pro X can this all be done inside of Logic now without loading into LiveStage or Ableton?

Excellent tutorial John Mike! Now after these stems are made, is it possible to combine them into a stereo file while still retaining the separation data?

Great video! I have a doubt: How can I set up a cosnsitent level using several multitracks songs in a live performance? Let's say I'm playing 10 songs using a multitrack software to play some stems simultaneously, how can I get the basses, drums, etc. of all theses songs to the same level? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, and thank you very much in advance! Cheers from Rio!

Thanks for watching...the best way to do this is to gain stage the tracks to the same level....so what I do is find the song that has the lowest overall volume...turn those tracks up to the level I desire...and then go and turn down the tracks in every other song to match the volume level of the lowest track

Is there a difference between stem files and stem tracks? I thought a stem file was a single file with 5 tracks. I'm new to all this.

You are thinking about NAtive Instruments new "Stems" format...which is essentially the same concept...but stems are individual audio files separated and used either for mixing or for band support or supplementation during live performances
