Thanks for this tutorial! I didn't know they could be baked. I also did not know crab legs were already cooked. King crab is anywhere from $39.99 to $65.99 a pound in Los Angeles right now!!

Yep! Almost all crab legs sold in stores are pre cooked. If they are bright red/orange, they're cooked! I live in NC and snow and dungeness crab legs are in the $17-$25 per pound and the King is usually 50ish per pound but today they were $64.99!!! Still bought some lol

@@sandijohnson4630 Yeah, they were collosal king crab as well! 1lb per leg. They were great but not quite worth it for $65/lb in my opinion. But King crab is always more expensive on the east coast, and snow crab is more expensive on the west coast, generally speaking. Snow crab and Red Atlantic crab has the best flavor I think.

  • @HeinensFoods

Hi There - The king crab legs used in this recipe were fresh, so they will steam within 5-7 minutes. If using frozen, we recommend allowing them to thaw one day prior to cooking. They can then steam for the same amount of time as fresh crab legs. Thank you for your questions.

Hi Gloria - These crab legs were actually fresh, but this steaming method works with frozen, too. Simply thaw the crab legs in your refrigerator one day before you plan to steam them.

King Crab is already cooked when you get it. I take it out of the shell and clean that mush off of it. Then. Then steam ithe only way you're gonna get a uncooked king crab is if it's alive
