King Crab Legs Baked, Grilled or Steamed - PoorMansGourmet

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I’ve got to admit that King Crab Legs are my all time favorite thing to eat. I love Snow Crab and Dungeoness Crab too but nothing, to me, is so satisfying as rewarding your self with a hefty sized piece of crab meat dipped in garlic butter. The flavor is so rich and sweet and it literally does melt in your mouth. The only problem is that they’re usually horribly expensive. I believe, however, that there is a time and place for everything, special occasions like birthdays and holidays have always warranted a place in my heart to splurge a little, even on a budget. Thank you for the easy to understand tutorial. Back in 1969 we lived on Kodiak island in Alaska. My mom worked at a king crab canning factory and was allowed to bring them home a lot! Boy, do I miss those fresh caught Alaskan king crabs now that I've lived in landlocked Colorado all these years. Thanks again!

I was in/on Kodiak for about 2 hours back in '98 when I worked for American Seafoods. Ironically, I lived in Denver in '05 & '06 too and I used to get "All you can eat" King Crab Legs on Tuesday night's at a restaurant called Simms Landing. I frequented so often the staff knew me by name and had my drinks and order in by the time I sat down at the bar. Good times! 😁 🦀 🍻

Remember, Crab legs have already been cooked so it's just a reheat. Over cooked crab will stick the shell and the texture will be weird. Good luck 🤞🍻
