How to Prepare for An Awesome Podcast Interview - SPI TV Ep. 50

Фильм және анимация

Today's episode is a vital one for all you podcasters out there. I'm sharing my top tips for preparing for an interview, gathered from the hundreds of interviews I've done on the Smart Passive Income Podcast.
Don't make the mistake of viewing interviews as an easy opportunity to kick back while your guest does all the work. While you should always let your guest do most of talking, you (as the interviewer) have a responsibility to prepare. It's your job to ensure the interview runs smoothly, stays on schedule, and provides value to your audience.
In this episode, I'll share my tips for becoming a master interviewer. I'll cover crafting the perfect questions, preparing your equipment, avoiding scheduling roadblocks, putting your guest at ease, and lots more.
I also recommend checking out PodcastingTutorial.com, my step-by-step guide to getting started with podcasting. You can find that tutorial at the link below:

Pat Flynn, You are nothing short of awesome. You are my fav podcaster thus far. I have been listening to podcasts for 4-5 years now, and have always loved and appreciated everything you share with your listeners. ALL of the AWESOME, FANTASTIC, EXPERT info you send out, for free even, is just ............ fantastic. I cant think of enough adjectives to express how I feel and appreciate everything you do, every day, for your "Team Flynn". Thank You for everything.

I got my first interview coming up tomorrow. And again, Pat, you're spot on with your advice and showering your audience with value without asking for anything in return. When it comes to building an audience and giving value to them I really look up to you to model you as much as I can. Appreciate you so much for guiding me in that regard, hope that one day I can give back as well.

Or a legal document with expectations etc. Pretty much saying they give you permission & consent to record them and release the recording/ video.

Just doing to see if you like it and want to invest your time and money into it. Next, have a business plan. Otherwise it's just an expensive hobby. Also, Podbean and Buzzsprout are solid hosting sites. I hope this helps :)
