1. Make your guest comfortable. It’s a new setting for them in which they may not be use to. 2. Don’t keep reading your questions and loose focus with your guest. Interact with them when they answer you. 3. React and look them in the eye! You need to listen to them. 4. Don’t ask yes or no question. Ask them things that forces a detailed answer! 5. Do your research. Know everything about your guest because things could take a turn. 6. Have fun/a good time, this is a talk show!!!
Love this advice. Not only for interviews, but just being an engaged human having conversation! Great job!

You're so very welcome! Actually, I'm in the research stages of creating a robust online course centered around creating a talk show. I'm trying to gather info on what people want in the course - would love to jump on a quick zoom call to hear what things you'd think are valuable in such a course! I could also answer any question you have :). Let me know!
Literally did all these mistakesnin my first ever interview. Hopefully will make corrections and apply these tips in the next one

Tip 1 - Don't donk your elbows on the table when the mic isn't isolated and you don't have a high pass filter enabled.

Hi I am from Afghanistan and I am working in a radio station, can you give me advice for being successful in my career. I will be glad to have your advices.
Can we get in contact please I would love some advice... I do interviews, I also do a chat show after them, it's all Ant or exotic pet related until the chat show which tends to go anywhere. My question is sometimes I'm on my own and no one to interview but the show is about 2-3 hours, I have some fun things I do but I need more things to do when on my own
👍👍👍
I like it Brian. Thanks for sharing! #cultofthhummingbird

Hi Brian, I have a Tik Tok page here I am talking about song writing, I have started off with my Samsung Note 22, I have good natural sunlight but I want to move on and interview people on the same subject and would like to make the room more like a studio and would like some ideas on backdrops, how many cameras, etc. A lot to ask I know.

Hey Christopher! That sounds awesome. Hey I'm actually working on building out a course on this exact subject, and I'm interviewing people about specific things they would want in a course, so I make sure I'm covering the right things. Would you be up to hop on a quick zoom call, and I could ask you a few questions, and you could also pick my brain on any questions you have? If so, just enter a date and time on my calendar and I'll make myself available! meet.sendinblue.com/brian-kelsey/30-minute-meeting

Hello Brian, If you are constructing a course, make it a long one, one of the main thing you need as a musician and songwriter is staying power, I have been writing since the age of 14 and and I am now 63, I am co-writing at a lyrist at the moment, and I have another cowrite coming up, The Tik Tok page I am doing is for the dedicated, song writing is a trade with a difference and the learning process is immense, Paul McCartney told someone in an interview that he wrote for thousands of hours before he actually woke up one morning and said, "Hey, that's not bad" and most songwriters will tell you the same, my idea is to hand the baton to the next generation of songwriters and help them to shave years of the learning process, I did not have a guide who shared information to me and my first cowriter, if we had, would could have saved us years, no song writer has ever woken up with a song in his head from day one and said, Wow that's a hit, it's a life's work, I will contact you by Skype but be prepared, there are no short cuts and sometimes no answers, so when it comes to the classic question, "Where does your inspiration come from" the chance are, most people could not tell you, sometimes you write songs about things about things you Thought you knew nothing about but your lyrical or musical content is bang on, so what's the answer?, Are we taking in information all our lives and one day it's time to access it or is it from what some people suggest is a higher power, and to be honest with you, I don't know, Ask Mick Jones from Foreigner who wrote "I want to know what love is"? He feels he did not write it and felt it was from a higher power because the writing was beyond him, and there are many many instances like that, I am the UK so it's the middle of the night, I will Skype you in the next few days, I also have lots of questions for you too. lol
I want to own a talk show... How do I go about it ?

Hi Charity! Shoot me an email, I think I can help: brian@briankelsey.com, thanks!
could you write all those tips here in the comment section please thank you
the editing is very obnoxious in this video and the music is far too loud.

EXTREMELY LOUD MUSIC 😮annoying
comfy listen take q react don't yes or no .. explain guest bg n current life get ur facts right have fun a good time
The intro is over 20% of the lenght of the video, you repeated yourself in that first minute and then discarded yourself by saying you suck at all of those tips. I did not whatch further. You know, in case you are looking for feedback. Good luck.
