howzit gents, just remember to only use your front break for stopping during the test except for the emergency break, just failed my test because I used my back and front break for the swerve on a rainy day and my bike slid out from under me Goodluck everyone, practice hard I believe in you.

Thanks man. This is great. I am in early days of my licence and want to get it before the end of December. I had to laugh at your anticipation experience about an emergency brake or yellow left or right. Very funny how you were almost caught out! Good advice!

Compared to drivers for a car, this is not as daunting. Great explanation, hoping to get the ball rolling just after december or mid Jan. I want to be riding before winter hits in CT, i rode a scooter before and it was fun in the rain but id rather lay down a R2000 scooter than an R3 or something 😅

To my lovely biker friends. 3:55 do not wait until the second line as explained here. I was failed because of this at Somerset West. Just pull away, 2nd gear Indicate, do your 1001 checks and do a right turn. (As soon as possible). Stop inside the block at the front.

Thanks for the video dude, very detailed and informative i just passed my test on Monday, but just so people know, its definitely not the same everywhere, so the must check other K53 videos to get an idea of the differences, but otherwise helmet mounted cameras are the way to go to know exactly what needs to be done

I did my first bike drivers at 17 years old. Met the instructor in the parking lot and he told me to ride to the testing section. So I rode out the parking lot but being nervous did not notice I had turned right from a left arrow lane coming out the parking and he failed me. That was in 1996, have been riding ever since but now need to do my drivers for a bike over 125cc as have just been using learner licenses for that up to now. Thanks for the great video.

I passed.Thank you.Just watch out for the instructors .They got a serious attitude problem. He knows if you get clever he may fail you.The course is full of loose stones'very slippery .Jus listen to every single word the prick face says.

How did it go? With good throttle / clutch control, counter lean and riding the rear brake you should be fine on any bike!

@@Lego-Adventures Hey! Went amazing and aced it thank you! Video helped a lot. Only complaints that made it hard was the driving range being literally rubble and not maintained at all so my bike did not like that, Was basically offroading with a supersport lol.

What is the distance between the two straight lines

I practiced my license for car in that parking lot do the lines still exist there

When you stop, are you allowed to put both legs out?

Hi, glad you found it helpful. If I remember correctly, it's about 1.7m wide where you have to turn left.

Great video! On the left turns 2:21 are you allowed to do clutch control/friction zone to take the 2 turn? Especially the 2nd one at 2:34

The second turn is directly after a stop, so you will have to stop first and then take the turn while pulling away.

I live on a farm and drive my bike around everyday(i would describe myself as a good driver) , how many lessons did you take before hand and how many lessons would you recommend?

Hi Janke, I was a total newbie. When I did the first test, I only had about 1000km riding experience. I practiced a lot though in parking lots with cones etc. Only had two formal lessons to teach me the specific maneuvers they test for and then I practiced on my own about 5 to 7 times. If you can ride well, you should be OK, but I know of many people that ride for years and can still not do a u-turn in 2 parking spaces. If you can do all the maneuvers in my video, you'll be fine. Do not anticipate on the light / swerve test, let your reflexes take over. To be honest, that test don't really make you a good rider, they should up it in my opinion.

No, on the emergency swerve and braking no indicating is required. It's meant to mimic an emergency evasion and stop, no time to indicate.

Hi Louis. This was at the Amanzimtoti Community Hall. Unfortunately marked up locations are scarce and they do not allow practise at any testing stations I know of. What I did was to find a deserted parking lot in my area, mark it out there and then practise.

is k53 A standard test for your license Is this the test that you need to pass in order to get your license. Sorry for dumb questions i just would like to learn about motors and i would like to take a test in some years

With the K53 learners you are allowed to ride solo, but you need the full license if you want to carry a passenger.
